Left4Bread on BloodLossPT4 Recommended Players = 4-16 Map Gametype Previous L4B Map Description This is the FOURTH part in my Left 4 Dead styled maps where you need to get from point A to B for better equipment or weapons. This map is The Docks, this time it’s in Longshore. I made this near when Halo 3 ODST was released mostly because I thought Longshore would make a creepy environment for my map. Still there is a tank as a special infected (Carrying a gravity hammer and has a custom powerup) that spawns every 2 minutes, and now there is a rocket launcher wielding zombie with an overshield, but he only spawns after 3 minutes. Same teleporter system, where zombies spawn in front of multiple teleporters, left takes you to the beginning of the map and right takes you to the end of the map. In this map there are 2 crescendo events that I will explain in the screenshots. Story After going through the tunnels you appear at the docks in a fishing city, which is where you would have gotten to quicker if the bridge wasn’t destroyed. After going through a few buildings you encounter a door that needs to be opened and will only open after 2 minutes. After a trip across the bridge then down a tunnel, down a building, through the factory, then though the freezer you will come to the docks where you can find the old Fish Tacos shack with weapons in it. Down the docks then up stairs that spawn after 3 minutes and then you find an abandoned military station. The survivors split up and some continue to find rescue by taking an underground metro and the others took the boats and tried to sail away… Gametype Main Setting 25% Zombies Next Zombies=Random 5 Rounds Friendly Fire=Off 5 Minute Rounds Humans Health = 200% Primary Weapon = SMG 3x Overshield Speed = 100% No Shield Recharge Gravity 200% Damage = 100% No Radar No Vehicle Use All Zombies Health = 50% Primary Weapon = Sword Normal Shields Infinite Ammo No Shield Recharge No Weapon Pickup Not Immune to Headshots Speed = 150% Damage = 50% Gravity = 200% No Vehicle Use Color = Zombie Normal Radar = 10 meters On Respawn Zombies Have 10 Seconds to Pickup Guns Custom Powerup Duration = 90 Seconds Health = 500% Normal Shields No Shield Recharge Damage = 150% Speed = 100% Gravity = 200% Radar = 25 meters Color = Black PICS Human Spawn Area Zombie Spawn Area First Tunnel First Open Area, Go into the building... ... Looks incredibly well organized, and no part to cheat. Probably the best left 4 dead remake yet. It looks like there arent any smokers, boomers, or hunters though? I don't mind cause they negatively affect gameplay, but other people might. I'll try and dl for a better review.
i owuld agree with plasma blades this map is very organized, my only fault with it is that there isnt enough nooks and crannies to hide. cover cover cover my friend.
Acyually, it plays nicely. The only problem is you can actually push through the first crescendo event, as in just by walking. You might want to make tye tank change colors, if they don't pick up the hammer they just look like a normal zombie.
ive never actually played on Longshore, so i don't really think i can rate this map truely, but from the pictures, description and other comments i can see that you have put together a great L4D remake. The walls look smooth and well done, and i like the GET TO THE BOAT concept. I can see this as a great and fun map to play on, with a party of people that won't screw around. I give the map a 4/5, for the great concept and good forging.
The organization of this map is great. While not very well forged, playing it was rather enjoyable. The crescendo event can be bypassed and a lot of teleporters made it rather confusing to remember which one took you where. I noticed that some of the reciever nodes were pretty close to each other, they could've easily been combined into a few sender nodes. I liked the part coming up from under the dock, that made for some interesting conflict and the extending bridge part was pretty creative. Funny, I've been making a map a lot like this except organized differently. I've been trying to finish my sandbox series before I finish this one though. Overall, I liked this. I'd suggest straightening up some merges, fixing the crescendo, and merging some of the teleporters together.
The reason why some forging may not be the best is because I just started to use ghost merging at the time so I didn't know any ways of how to really straighten objects and also because of Longshore having less immovable objects and fewer objects than some maps. With the lack of objects I had to resort to using forklifts and bater barrels, as seen in the pictures.
The zombies cant pick up the rockets or rockets though, when they spawn - You might want to give them 3 seconds of respawn traits.
