Block Fort 64 Block Fort 64 Created by: Short Bizzle Recommended number of players: 4-10 Game types: All game types: Slayer, Odd Ball, KOTH, CTF, Assault, Territories, Juggernaut and VIP (More specifically Gift Giver). Preface: After tooling around with some objects in forge, trying to come up with my next creation, I came up with a base design that looked vaguely familiar. I then realized what I recognized it from... MARIO KART 64!!! I Began forging this model instantly. Working late into the night I banged away with my hammer and anvil. Slowly but surely the map began to take shape. After about 16hrs of almost straight forging and a few beers later I came up with this... BLOCK FORT 64!! EDIT:Slight update on callouts and weapon placement. No MAJOR changes. VEHICLES AND WEAPONS As with its spiritual successor I had vehicles in mind. Boasting four mongoose (@30sec), two ghosts(@120sec), and two gauss warthogs (Yess Gauss @ 180sec). This map will be sure to bring a pleasant bit of chaos to your next competitive battle. With all these vehicles comes the stuff to stop them. At the back ramps at each base are 2 plasma grenades which are super deadly in these tight quarters (vehicle lovers don't fret these only respawn every 90sec) There are also 2 mines on the 2nd floor bridge @ 150 sec and 2 power drains on the 3rd floor bridge @ 180 sec. Also, hung neatly on the outer walls, are 2 brute shots with one extra clip and a 150 sec respawn. And the big boy rockets... This guy in most maps usually holds one extra clip. Seeing how its a 2way symmetrical map I split this up...2 rocket launchers, one on the top of yellow base and one on green, with zero extra clips. With all these big boom boom weapons and equipment there are also some normal guns to use while you wait 3 minutes or so for the power weapons and vehicles to respawn.... 8 battle rifles (2 at each base @ 45 sec w/ 2clips) 2 carbines(2nd floor bridges @30sec w/ 2clips) 2 maulers (2nd floor bridges@90sec w/ zero clips)and 2 noobles (Top of red and blue base @ 90sec w/ 2clips). Some more equipment to be noted 2 bubble shields (in the alleys@90sec) 2 regens (near the brute shots@120sec) and a grav lift (Bottom mid @ 90sec resawn) DESCRIPTION: Now you still may be wondering about all those vehicles, especially those gauss warthogs...Well let me put you at ease. As you will find in the pictures below this isn't exactly a map that can be dominated by vehicles (No roaming the outer edges like the main level of Sandbox or cutting the map down the middle like in Standoff). There are basically just a few alley ways around the outside and through the middle of the bottom of the map. The vehicles can also navigate to the other floors, but the paths are narrow, and a conservative driver that wants to stay alive long enough to get a couple kills will stay at the bottom. The view from the bottom isn't too promising either. With the large tower structures it will be hard to hit those people, between all the buildings and bridges, that decide to stay on foot, while you navigate the alleys in the warthog or ghost. So with all this going for the infantry why even bother with the vehicles??? Because it's a FRIGGIN' Gauss Warthog!! And those narrow alleys will inevitably lead to some awesome splatters!! Wow Good map but how did you do for merge the teleport trought the wall ? But your map are great i really love the ghost spwan and i think a warthog its to big for your map !
I was thinking of making a map like this a little while ago but couldn't pull it off >.< Looks good, smooth and like the original in every way! (except that yours is made out of stone and some of the karts have guns on them, lol!) You got my download!
I like it. The weapones and vehicals are bothe fair, and balaced, spawn times are also fair. The close quarter battles that can be had here won't be great, but they'll be fun. It's always great to see what up and coming forgers can come up with, and you sir, are a prodagey! Very well done. 5/5
OMG was this from Mario Kart! And it looks like you have a good balance between weapons and vehicles. Nice! Are noobles rockets? And why aren't the bases green and orange like in the pictures.
I think I'm going to make a short tutorial on how to make the callouts like I did on this map. You basically have to spawn the teleporter and pull it through the map. There are a couple other thing you have to do to make it work right, but that could take up this whole page to explain everything. I've played this map a few times where we kept hoping on the gauss, and you're right it isn't successful every time, but when you can make it around the map a couple times it is awesome!!
Awesome map bizzle. I had a lot of fun playing on it and the design is simple but works very well. Always a fan of your work and look forward to other maps you have in the works.

Great design,it really looks like the Block Fort from Mario Kart for sure.Very good weapon balance and really fun vehicle action on this.Makes for some intense and insanely fun Team-slayer and CTF matches.Nice clean forging as your maps always have,great post! 5/5
