Bleached is a hybrid beast - partly a remake of my Halo Reach map White Lodge, and partly outright theft of some ideas from The Pit. It started off as a straight remake or re-imagining, but I realized partway through that 1) I liked one half of White Lodge more than the other, and 2) the floor plans of White Lodge and The Pit were not entirely dissimilar. The two kind of squished together in an adult way to make adorable baby Bleached, which is a good-sized 4v4 map meant especially for the kind of nail-biting CTF games The Pit provided. I unfortunately never got to play Bleached But I did play White Lodge quite a bit and obviously The Pit. I can only imagine(and read in the feedback) that this plays brilliantly! Theres so much aesthetic goodness in here it makes me sick! While I feel like I'm running out of ideas design/aesthetic wise, you and other TCOJers keep coming up with some tasty stuff! I particularly enjoy your use of the round objects that Impact has to offer. Especially the Silo 2 Opens sideways. So simple yet so genius! I'ma give this a DL and probably host a customs lobby sometime soon just to play some of the awesome stuff I've been missing. Good work Nutterbutter.
I have enjoyed many close and very very solid games on this map. Nothing ever felt shaky or half-baked, just solid. It's a shame that we won't be testing it anymore! It's a real shame you DID miss out on testing this GG, but I think it's gonna be back in a TCOJ lobby soon...
This is just an all-around solid map. The gametypes are all fun and interesting to play on it, and it's fun to look at while playing.
Bleached was great from the start. The turret dispensers are what sold me though. Those things are just fantastic. The layout is pretty nice too, and flag games are mad and chaotic. Definately a fun competitive one to throw up in customs. Nice work, Nutty.
Thanks guys, I feel so loved. Audience - I think all my maps from now on will have turret dispensers. It's just a fun way to put a weapon on the map that is overly annoying in one of its two forms, and eliminate that form entirely.
The aesthetics are SOOO pleasing on this map. I love the various uses of the pieces; they are used in ways I never thought of! Great job, I'll be playing this map soon.
