I really like your bases. This looks like it would be a lot of fun to play on. I will DL tonight. Very nice work.
I was thinking about leaving some feedback after walking around the map. I think the scale is large for slayer and would slow down the kill times. The best game mode for this map would definetly be KoTH as it will focus battle interactions towards the objective sites. I would suggest scalining it down significantly to optimize it for multiple gametypes. The current scale appears to suite mechanics with sprint, etc. Beautiful map and wonderful layout, I'm really looking forward to testing it out and providing additoinal feedback, I just wanted to give you a head start on what I think would be an issue.
I made some small changes, got the camo to work on a static timer and fixed some minor object placements to fix some z-fighting. For now, I don't really feel like changing the layout too much as I haven't been able to test it yet. Although I am playing around with the design in sketchup.
I'll suggest you bring the map size down for 4v4 again. Please do more significant descaling - H2A player models are miniature! Imagine playing 'mini-slayer' in Halo 4 when you are rescaling
I shall try to do that Warholic, will have to change a lot of the structures then though as I won't be able to use ramp, circular larges.
Is there anyway to bring the spaces in tighter as opposed to replacing pieces? Last I checked there were excessive routes around the outer perimeter of the map as well. Perhaps be more selective with those and eliminate some? I'm sure you'll find the right balance to bring the map size down. Great design, would love to see this in Halo 5 as is.
Hmm it might be possible to make everything closer to the middle. I may have to adjust the form of some areas though, in particular the blue side although that might work better for the LoS on the map. [span]I shall post some screenshots of my sketchup when I have made something. [/U]
Oh hey! This is that sketchup I saw! Looks very interesting, especially with the use of all the round platforms. I think the size could be brought down slightly, and some of the rough edges and piece usage could be reworked, but still a very nice build. Paul Blackthorne approves.
