Makes me glad I don't live in the U.S. :D

On an unrelated note, I hate you for putting your blog in comic sans.

I'm sure it'd be fine to describe how to get achievements with words and drawn pictures.

Plus it actually isn't that hard to legally get around a copyright. Put a disclaimer in the video and link to the proper licensing information and you could post stuff to your hearts content

Even if this does pass (it won't), the game developers/publishers could still decide if they wanted to sue or not, and since LPs are basically a constant form of free advertising, I don't think they would have a problem.

It wont pass, There are to many things wrong with this. 1. Netflix will go out of business which is one of the big guns in the industry. 2. Youtube & Google will go against this as well because of the billions of dollars they receive every year. 3. This breaks all freedom. If it passes in America, There is no Freedom of Speech.

**** the god damn government. There just pissed because of Video Game bill that failed because of the same reason. BUSINESS.

    It won't pass.

    1. Netflix's content all have licenses from the publisher. Else, Netflix would have been taken down a LOOOONG time ago for Copyright.

    3. Freedom of speech =/= Copyright restrictions

It won't even pass, and its way too early to even be worrying about it.

lol, youtube is an American company, so a Russian, Englishman, or whomever posting a copyrighted video would still get it removed. They wouldn't get a fine or any legal prosecution.

This is also another aspect of why this bill won't pass though. It's reach can't leave the United States and youtube is an international thing.

For a second I read that, and I thought Notch had an account here, I was like O.O
But I still think that this is legitimately the stupidest thing ever.

I'm sure it will be changed before it is actually passed. The gaming industry allows this because it is basically free advertising. "If people see this video and think the game is cool, they might buy it" -generally every game company. I wouldn't worry about it.
