Out of curiosity, just since this has been bothering me forever with the endless debate, which sniper is best for Hardcore? Like, statistically best. I've been told Drag, M21, R700, pretty much everything by someone. Someone even said the 50 cal. Yes, I ignored him
i use p90 with acog in hardcore i use m16 with red dot on team death and i use my trusty ak-74u with red dot in search and destroy
I don't play as much before, and I only prestiged once (regret it) but when I was my 55, I used (mind you I only play Hardcore, where noobs running around like beserkers aren't as annoying) 50 Cal with UV Jammer and Penetration - There was nothing it would not shoot through, and I was rather good at getting leads through walls, buildings, etc. Silenced P90 with UV jammer and bomb squad - I was silent in hardcore. There was no way they could see me on radar, and I was good at sneaking around. Now, I use the M-21 (need to finish it up, but I prefer Dragunov) and Silenced MP5. I'm starting to like it more than the P90.
So which do you like better for Hardcore, the M21 or the .50 cal? I didn't even think about the wall penetration abilities of that thing, I don't really shoot through walls that often. I generally use Iron Lungs as my yellow on sniper classes
50. Cal most definately. M21 has horrible accuracy at long range. 50 cal isn't the best either, but I can still hit a target with it (or used to that is). I used to use Iron lungs all the time, but realized it is a waste I aim without it, and hold just as I pull the trigger for accuracy. Sometimes I don't even need to use it, I just use the wobble of the sights.
The M21 is, and the draganov is next in HARDCORE only, in regular the M40A3, then the 50 cal, then the r700

Are the clip-loaded snipers any less accurate than the bolt-action ones over long distances? Some people have told me that, but the Drag is really accurate and clip-loaded
Did you get the golden Uzi without boosting? :frustrated: Lol few have... I wanted the golden M60E4 until I realized it was basically a big shiny target XD
Dragonuv. It sounds stupid, but on HCTD a Dragonuv with the steady-aim perk will own everyone. I remember this one time on Bloc, people storming into the building where I was sniping from, so I went down the stairs, through the hallway and just quick-fired everyone. It has a super-fast rate of fire, and with that extra bullet-damage perk, will make an instant kill on HCTD. Easy enough to storm around maps with, easier to snipe with, good for sprees. Need I say anymore?
R700, I hate the Dragonuv. I can hardly ever get 1 hit kills with it even with the extra damage perk. That and the sound it makes when it shoots even sounds wimpy. The R700 on the other hand I always get 1 shot kills.
Wakko, the Draganov and M21 are only good for HC, other than that, the M40A3 and the R700 own I find the 50 cal. to never be steady, and its never used in S&D which is what all the 10th prestige plays.
Actually now that I think about it. I like the Deagle the best. I usually run around with my Deagle when I'm trying to get to a better spot to snipe and I rape people that have most other weapons.
I like the M4 Carbine with Stopping Power and Red dot sight or on bigger levels I like the ACOG scope. I also use the P90, R700, G3, and M16.
