I want to get better at GIMP and sig making in General and I wanted to know what is the best tutorial to make signatures? This is opinionated (obviously) so post what you find helpful! And PLEASE!!! Just GIMP tutorials that are helpful. Thank you for all your help!
just go on you tube, type in gimp sig tutorial, and watch as many as you can, i found that the best way cause everybody does it different so then you can combine everything to make your own style.
i saw this tutorial a while ago which was really good and short it only had a few steps. i cant remember its name... i think it was called: Get Photoshop!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I just noticed that! I always thought it was friend... I iz feelin za dumbness now. =( I go cry in corner now. =)
I find it funny how much crap GIMP actually gets. You can get patches for it and get the exact same things photoshop has. Like Bevel. I have a program called Eye candy on my GIMP which gives me more than enough features to make it photoshop. If you really want to get better and what to find good tutorials either use Youtube or google it. You can't get better unless you try, plus you can always perfect the ones that don't look as good or even tweak the tutorial a bit and make the signature with your own style.
Photoshop is just simply better in alot of ways, but im not gunna tell you to look up how to download photoshop cs6 for free on youtube and be done in about 10 minutes, im gunna tell you to search up tutorials, you can't really have a "best" tutorial in terms of the resulting product, because that is subjective, in terms of clarity and difficulty level, possibly, but for now i suggest: i find alot of good tuts through Stumble Upon by choosing graphic design on my interests (mostly photoshop tutorials though) I searched "gimp sig tutorial" on deviantART but theres a little less than 700 results, so depending on how deep you want to go into graphics, gimp is limited. Now a fantastic program like photoshop, shes a beauty
I tried a Photoshop trial and didn't like it much actually. Maybe I have just gotten too used to using GIMP for everything and don't feeling like learning a program all over again. As for tutorials, this is my favorite. I think it's a Photoshop tutorial, but it can be translated into GIMP pretty easy. EDIT: lol. old thread is old.
