    Behemoth
'Spiritual' successor to Colossus. Like it
but not too much. 2-12 Players.

    Download Map Here

Supported Gametypes: Slayer/TS, CTF, Assault, Oddball, KoTH

This is not a pure remake of Colossus. But it plays about the same. It is completely enclosed. I have changed up quite a few things, but you can see that from the pics. The supported game types work with all the bells and whistles so have fun and let me know what you think.

There is a goodie stashed behind the man cannon. Some of the weapons are in the same areas as the original. The sniper rifle is located at the top middle. A BR is on each side at the corners. There are 2 spikers on each side underneath. Regenerators are located near here as well.

A view of almost the whole map. It is completely symmetrical with only a few small variations on each side.

The main hallway at the top.

An open view of almost the whole map from the top corner.

There are bubble shields located on each "pinnacle". Rockets are located in the center structure. As well as a power drain right below on the ground level. There is a BR located on each side's little hole on the sides.

The middle area looks really creative. Well done, also nice interlocking but some of the boxes look a little bit out of line.

Very unique... a rendition, not remake of Colossus. Not only is it well done but also not a map often revisited.

Rendition, good word for this map. Make sure you try out a team slayer game with at least 6 people. It is a blast.

Colossus was a Halo 2 map. It is similar to my map in basic layout. It was MUCH bigger though. Think Behemoth X 4. Ah, I found a pic.

I loved playing this with you today. I actually enjoyed this map more than Colossus. Foundry seems the perfect size for this map, as I never seemed to be too far away from any action. This map was a lot of fun to play on, and I can't wait to get a nother game on it. I'll send you an invite next time I'm on.

So... I made a Forge Hub account guys! xP

Great looking map RunTime, I'll check it out and maybe it'll be Bump List worthy. :O
If you think it's better than Beholder, it should be amazing! Plus, I liked Colossus a tiny bit. So it has a chance of winning me over.

Also, since I'm such a noob here at Forge Hub, is there a board here for setting up map testing events? I have a new one (finally) that should be done in a couple of weeks, and I need some testers. The Bump List's relative inactivity doesn't help that matter much, so I thought I'd try here. :)

Check out this. Welcome to Forge Hub.

I really liked Colossus and understand this not an exact remake, but I have trouble seeing the resemblance from the screenshots. I have it queued because it looks great anyways, but I am just having trouble making the connections from both maps.

Awesome! Thanks XxTexasHornxX!! 'Tis much appreciated.

Can't wait to try your map RunTime! Hopefully there are no aliasing problems with this map like there were in Beholder. ;)

That would be a really great addition to forge objects.

Nope, I didn't see any flashes or anything in forge. Welcome to FH, Debo!!

alright after having a little bit of a forge through and a game i have come to see how it resembles the colossus and that you have tried to shrink it i also like that you have added a few of your own touches. but it use to all revolve around the big mancannon thing at one end and yours does not do this not suggesting that this is a bad thing just saying this part needs a bit more attention. i like your weapon placements but there should be a little bit more cover for the people on the ground.

but thats just the small things that i think could be inproved but overall its a very good map everyone should d/l and try this out

    from whitelime:
    Appreciate the feedback, lime!!
I set the weapon placement on the map so that it would push you toward the man cannon end of the map. There are only 2 distance weapons on the starting end of the map(BRs) and rockets in the middle. I wanted that part to seem like a preparation for getting to the other end. In all the games I have played most of the action took part at the mancannon end.
About the cover...Could you be a little more specific? It has tons more cover than Colossus did on the ground. The building area should be more than enough to get you to the man cannon as well as under the man cannon side. Every choice you make in the game should have a pro and a con. If you make the choice to go on the ground to get 'nades or a weapon or whatever there should be some sort of downside, and that is less cover than other areas.

for the cover i meant near the invisibility and the fence boxes in that general area the invis is in the wide open maybe add i dunno a few crates or something. but thats just something i thought could be improved a little bit.

Same thing for the camo. There has to be some sort of risk/reward ratio and the active camo is a pretty powerful tool on this map. That is why it is in an open area of the map. If you go for it, there is a good chance you will be killed, but that's a chance you have to decide on.
