Well, I started playing MLG a few weeks ago. I've greatly seen my Halo 3 level increase from when I didn't play. I've been practicing my four shots and sniping. I'm close to great at the game, except for my huge problem. Every time I shoot with a Battle Rifle or Sniper Rifle I tend to move up on the thumb stick, then shooting, causing me to miss. I've experimented with almost all sensitivities and nothing. Any tips? Also, I hear people say, one shot a lot, is that when their shields are down and you shoot them? I don't see anything spectacular worth mentioning in that. And do any of you have a link to all of the map call outs?
One shot is when you shoot them in the crotch and all three BR bullets hit them - they die instantaneously.
Gee golly, never knew that! Thanks for that information Mr. Saracasm. Anyway, I tried going to five, and using the BR's zoom feature for once, and it's helped a bit.
Here's your callouts, straight from MLGpro.com. With pics even! And when a player calls out "one shot" he means he got an enemy's shields popped and it will only take one shot to kill, but he can't do it himself for one reason or another(usually dead).
I used to have the same problem, except I swiped my thumbstick to the right. The only way you can get better is by practising with a friend. Get him to jump around you trying to dodge.
Sensitivity=1 That is how I play, but when I pick up a sniper rifle, I take the time to change my sensitivity to 10.
isnt it normalyy the other way round play on 10 and snipe on 1 anyway just lead your enemy into your bullets u dont have to aim at there head like thayt only 1 bullet will make contact
Not for me. I find it much easier to keep a steadier BR on sensitivity 1. I like to be able to quick scope with the sniper, so I like to have that on 10.
In the MLGpro.com Halo 3 FAQ thread there's a listing of what sensitivity all the pro's play on. I'd say about half play on 3, and the other half are scattered mostly 4 and 5, with I think one six. Thread Most play Bumper Jumper control layout too, with vibration off, for what its worth.
I've tried 3, 4, and 5 for a match each. I did best with 5. Also, I can't really get good at bumper jumper.
I changed to Bumpers Jumpers, and i must admit: its MUCH better. I dont know why, but i just feel very confortable with it. I also use sensivity 3 an no vibration.
