I've experienced and watched AA missiles simply ignore flares. I'll hear the quick succession of beeps that tells you a missile is coming towards you, deploy flares, and the sound doesn't stop and I get hit with a missile 3-4 seconds later. It's not just me, it's a widely known fact that flares are either glitched or programmed to have a random factor to them.
That video is now outdated, though still helpful if you know nothing about ECM. The patch has changed air combat quite a bit, however, and some of the changes don't even reflect the patch notes either.
I'm trying out rent a server (xbox 360) for a week. I made a server for only the large conquest maps with 200% tickets. I'm trying to get my server noticed and populated, so if any of you want you can help me populate it. Just go into Server Browser and search Mordor Epic Battles, and it should be there. Anybody interested? I'd like to eventually set up the server so that people have to use their mics and communicate, but I obviously need the server populated before I can even think about doing that type of thing. maps: Caspian Border, Kharg Island, Operation Firestorm, Noshahr Canals, Gulf of Oman 4 Flag, Strike at Karkand 5 Flag, Sharqi Peninsula 4 Flag, Wake Island 5 Flag. settings: normal
I don't think servers that become populated stay that way for very long. I'm pretty sure it fluctuates. I've fave'd servers that had 24 people in them and then seen them drop to 0. I would just wait. I'll join though, 200% tickets sounds pretty good.
I think I've come up with a revolution in gaming. How about a game where your connection speed doesn't determine how much fun you can have. It's amazing how many fun games turn terrible when I go from college (good internet) to home (average internet) for the summer.
Just in case you guys didn't know, Double XP this weekend for all! Yay! Source: Battlefield 3 Fires Up Double XP This Weekend - Xbox 360 News At Xbox360Achievements.org
Perhaps it's to try and distract us from the fact that official servers are now missing as of this week. EA is terrible about shutting down game servers too soon, but this is a little much.
MIC ONLY Conquest Normal Mordor Epic Battles For easier search, just search up "Mordor" in the Server Browser. Favorite this server and we (whoever interested) can perhaps get in a game together. I cannot really enforce the MIC ONLY rule because then there would be hardly any players, so it would be nice to have players on the server who use their headsets in game chat rather than in party chat. Having a full team or at least a majority of the team using headsets and communicating makes the game so much more enjoyable. The server just plays what I consider to be the bigger scale conquest maps, so all of B2K (no 3 flag versions), and all the vanilla maps except for Metro, Tehran, Bazaar, Damavand, and Seine. So eight maps on normal settings, normal ticket count. The server will be up for another week starting today, so if activity in it remains good for the week, I'll definitely consider extending the lease.
I'll definitely play. I need alot more Battlefield friends. I hate playing without actual teammates. How many people are actually playing on the server now?
For the server to become populated, I have to basically idle in the server until players start popping in. For the last several days, the server has been pretty steady until usually around midnight or a little later EST. It was well populated early, but for whatever reason it is now empty at only 9:00 pm. That's just fantastic. Edit: The server is finished with now.
Shameless bump... But has anyone watched any of the BarbaricMustard's videos? I watched them all last night and there are some pretty hilarious videos.
