ok befor i start i did post this like 2 years ago when i first joined but it had like no pics or info about the map so now im posting it the way it should b. im makeing a v2 on sandbox so i was thinking what people think i could improve on.... this is a map i made on foundry a long time ago but i think its the best map ive made so i edited it a little and now im posting it it may look like just a big wall but its much much more! people start infrount of a verry big Barracade and must get over it anyway they can and fast because after 30 secs a grav lift spawns leting the zombies out to attack! over the other side there is a small base and some weps but none of them respawn so use your ammo wisely weps in base assault rifle x4 battle rifle x4 shotgun x2 sniper rifle x2 smg x2 spiker x3 magnum x2 plasma pistol x1 needler x2 brute shot x2 spartan laser x1 (in all my games on this ive never seen it used 1s) fuel rod gun x1 beam rifle x1 sentinel beam x2 flamethrower x1 plasma cannon x1 (must b pulled off to b used) machine gun turret x1 (must b pulled off to b used) and 3 of all grenades and now some pics! the barracade a good look at what the barracade looks like. i took this pic after i made the map its biger than the rest of the pics i dont no y could anyone help me out? zombie start this is where the zombies start after 30 secs a grav lift spawns leting them free! climb for your life! to slow this is what happens if u dont make it over in 30 secs base some of the base on the other side snipe a bit hard to see this pic sorry risk snipeing comes with a risk... secrets of the barracade! there r 2 snipers on the barracade and some power ups to help the zombies... custom camo! i used a custom power up for camo so it would last longer, the camo also makes u have less health tho. its hidden inside the barracade, it has 90 sec spawn time and is not placed at start over shield there is a over sheld but to get it u must hit the barrel holding up the dumpster so it opens a hidden room with the over shield! o_0 and the over shield it has a 1 min spawn time and is placed at start tunnel there is a tunnel to the other side of the barracade it is easy to take if u no where it is and how to get through it. it is also the only way back over the barracade link to gametype: http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=77344705 link to map: http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=77344714 tell me what u think and how to improve it for my v2!
Thats pretty cool. The barricade looks nicely made even though it's suppost to look messed up. A suggestion for you Sandbox version is to lessen the weapons in the base. Also you could add a second entrance for the zombies.
i think it would be hard to build on sandbox cause of the lack of movable items but im still interested in what you come up with
Nice idea, I myself have not seen this done before Suggestions: -Weapons seem too close and hard to pick up, spread them out more. -Lessen the weapons and ammo clips if they're too high -Would it hurt to add ascetics?
ascethics eh? did you look at the barricade at all? im prrrrretttty sure that makes up most the ascethics. haha anyhow: im a big fan of infection and this map looks fantastic. I like how you made the baricade not just an obsticle but something to go looking in. I also like the little tunnel area. and also just wondering: did you block off the other area? like the one that the base is in on the other side of the baricade? cuz then they would just be able to go around and through that little tunnel. i will download for this map looks awesome. p.s. remove the armory. Not many people on forgehub like them. spread out the weapons around the map (in mini bases?) and make an alternate route for the zombies to get in
Pros: The map aesthetics are amazing, the climb for life looks fun as hell. The OS and Custom looks hard to get with the zombies chasing you. The barricade also looks awesome. The tunnel area is well made. Cons: The armory is a big no no. Once the humans get there, all the chances for the zombies are over (depends on the game type). Spread them out around the map. Spawn killing looks like a big deal as well.
yea there isnt much movable items but i made the barricade like twice as big so its harder to get over i spread out the weapons a bit in v2 and took some out/lowered clips. i also made a ascetic base in v2 yep i blocked off the other area thing. me and most people who ive played this with think the armory is good because the ammo runs out quite fast so u have to save ammo and because there is alot of zombies at the start from people who didnt make it in time lol also zombies have a bit to hide behind and have CP and OS to help them. edit: i kind of made a alternate route for the zombies in v2. the OS and CP (camo if u use gametype) r not really for the people just to help the zombies. im hopeing everyone uses the gametype if they use there 1 the CP wont work and if people had unlimited ammo the zombies will b over or if its fat man the zombie wont get over the barricade
