ok me and a few friends have just started recording some songs we composed so i decided since we seemed commited that i will make a band logo.

so what i am asking you is what can i do make the logo look better and if it helps we are a punk rock band. and some more help is if possible some greenday / rise against / rage against the machine references if possiblle to

i have 4 different versions here
p.s. dont bug me about the pixels around the edge

I personally like the last one. I don't know really what to suggest, usually a band logo is something a band decides on or changes. So much white negative space though.

I like the last one the best. The horizontal lines in the curvy things make it look cool. IMO the third one sucks. But the last is awesome.

I love the first one. It is really good for your first logo. Like you said, fix the pixels.
Since you are an early band, great job!
