A little experiment of mine, I put together a cooperative puzzle map designed for two players to assist eachother as they try to reach the oddball. You'll need the "baffleball coop" gametype. Map is here Gametype is here Both players need to be on different teams for spawning to work properly (and subsequent respawning, in case players get a little rambunctious). EDIT: Because you are on two teams, you won't be able to communicate. So, before you load the map, start a private chat with the other player. You'll then be able to talk to them. Other than that, it is a short little experiment which I hope might inspire some of the more skilled forgers out there (forgive me if this is an old concept--I am unaware if it is so). The players will begin separated from eachother and must solve two simple puzzles to unite. Then they face two more difficult puzzles. And having solved both of those, there is no better way to celebrate good teamwork than with a competitive race to the finish ! Thanks for checking it out
Looks good and I like the cooperative feel, although I wish you could be on the same team since I would like to talk to my teammate.
That is a great point, and something I didn't think about. Because I wanted both players to start separated (and respawn in the correct location), I had to place them on opposite teams. If they started together, they could have been on the same team. Here's a solution: before you load the map, start a private chat with the other player. You'll then be able to talk to them. Thanks for the critique
Interesting idea. Unfortunately there's not a lot of replay value for a map like this. It'd probably be a nice little challenge to try out sometime, though.
ya, and i don't like the fact that i have to start a private chat tho...ill still try it tho..........
