Azimuth This abandoned mining facility has no way out. 2-8 Players Download Link: http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=19448407&player=xZonKeD Description: Azimuth is an asymmetrical room based map heavily focused upon the aesthetic atmosphere surrounding it. Azimuth in its original design was heavily inspired by Halo 1's Rat's Race. Unsatisfied with the finished product i did a complete overhaul of the map creating new transitions, increasing its size, and attempting to make the map more balanced. The map has a total of 4 main areas; Red Base, Blue Base, Yellow, and Green. Within these areas are various levels and rooms which allows for flanking, set ups, and flow. Aesthetics: All the aesthetic structures arround the map are based off the idea of an abandoned mining facility. There is a "broken mine shaft" located at bottom green which actually acts as the lift taking you up to middle green. Blue Room acts as an "observation room" of the caves upon which the structure is created. Middle yellow as well as bottom green both have small observation windows which also show you the caves surround the structure. An aesthetic piece of major importance is located in the observation window in middle yellow, where there is actually an abandoned mining cart which has been stuck on its track due to the build up of rock. I wouldn't recommend releasing a map without having it tested first. Cause trust me, you will always have something you can improve on that you might not notice, but others will. The map looks great though, room based maps are definitely a favorite of mine. Really gives you that classic halo feel.
I tested the map before it was entirely redesigned. I have nobody on my friends list to test so since i was finally satisfied with the design i decided to post it in order to get some feedback for any changes.
