    I tried blurred the body, sharpened the head and then sharpened the tongue way more to give it the 3D feeling

    I don't like the bg color. That sharpening idea is pretty cool though.
    Add more effects and text. It seems kinda empty.

    Depth is good, background is plain. I think a text in that empty space may help a little.
