So I've been playing Shadowrun alot lately, and I really like the gametype attrition, and I was thinking of putting something similair in Halo. Basically it's a death match, with an artifact (coud be oddball, bomb or flag) in the middle, and the artifact shows you where the enemy are, and you go and kill them etc, but you only win the round, if you're holding the artifact at the end of the round, if you eliminate the other team, or if you win based on kills (e.g. you have 3 members left, they have 2 etc). Anyone got any suggestions on how I could make this, because it will be extremely complex. And anyone that wants to help just tell me =]
You could do oddball with unlimited points, and a time limit. It's the closest thing, because there's no way to guarentee that if you hold it at the end of the round you'll win, otherwise unless you make it first to grab. The eliminate team part and waypoint easy, just change oddball holder traits and lives to one.
Yeah I also put that the oddball guy can see everybody else, if you can do that, and they can see him too. Another note, is how would I make it give you points for an elimination if it was oddball or flag.
If anywhere, such a setting would be in the Scoring submenu. Try tweaking it a bit to see what you can come up with: shouldn't be too hard to do what you're thinking about.
