Atrum Tempestas Created by BSB Cerberus Map Description It took me several months of mental planning to even begin forging this map, but once I did, it was completed in a little over 7 straight hours of forging. It's symetrical map design is pure and simple. Teams spawn opposite each other with two side base areas and a central bridge point. The top half of the map contains sparce cover. During play testing if you were losing a gun battle, you could drop down to the bottom half from almost anywhere and find more cover. This works in reverse as well; there's multiple tac steps and routes back up. I've managed to have at least 11 full games of TS testing and a few games of CTF so far, but the map is also set up for Stockpile and various other game types. p.s. The map name translates to "Dark Storm" Initial spawn area for Red team Wide angle view of initial spawn area Lower central area, contains shotgun spawn Side base 1, contains sniper spawn Side base 2, contains grenade launcher spawn Wide angle view of top portion of map Originally the map had rockets in place of the shotgun under the central bridge and shotgun was at the current grenade launcher spawn. The rocket launcher proved kind of frustrating on this map so it was replaced with the shotgun and the grenade launcher was added. All power weapons are at a 90 second spawn timer with 1 spare clip. Additionally the map has DMRs x8, Needle Rifles x6, ARs x8, Magnums x2, Plasma Pistols x2, Plasma Repeaters x2, Needlers x4, Spiker x2 and both Plasma and Frag grenades. Map takes influences from many of the Forerunner structures from Halo 2 and current forge techniques. Thanks to ghostfaceplayer and xShineyThighx for playtesting and build ideas. Sniper and Grenade Launcher should be set at at (grammatically necessary) least 120 seconds (two (2) minutes). Otherwise, its not quite aesthetically pleasing, being a main cause of few downloads and replies, and it looks quite repetitive in the gameplay department, though balance only suffers from the missed spawn timers. The reason for the spawn being longer is because it is a smaller map. But, Spoiler Needs moar intarloks 6.2/10
