Not necessarily, it works just fine if you walk. Actually, other than Roll Call you're supposed to walk the entire way. Having the VIP stand on top of the tank never really works out (except for 3v3 or under games). Originally, it was supposed to be Asset: Escort.. but the name has been both taken and scummed by matchmaking asset. The map pack will be released when the map pack video gets finished... I have somebody who's willing to make it for me, but he's doing a video for Conquest V5 at the moment.
i had three map of Asset is comming out ! The first are a Hold Out map ! th second is a Sentinel Guard map Hold Out to . ( new gametypes and Play ! ) and the last one is a map you will be attack by Floods . this one will be a Escort ! ( New gametypes and Play ) . I hope you like my idea and maybe it will be in the Master List ! And i had a question : Do you will make other Asset Gemtype ? Like a VIP on each side and its the first them take down the first the other team VIP !
2 questions: 1. What weapons should I place on the map for the humans? 2. Does the asset really need 50% gravity?
I know you're making an escort style map right? I suggest you make it for Convoy. The VIP has higher gravity so he doesn't jump as high, and for weapons, anything human I guess. just don't give them a boat load of weapons. While we're on the subject of convoy, I've decided on this. If 5 community Convoy maps are released, I will replace Escort in the Master List with Convoy. If 8 community Convoy maps are released, I will make a guide for it.
i wouldn't say so. convoy plays pretty well for any size escort map imo. It's basically Asset V2 but made for a competitive escort.
I just realized that wont work because in Asset Convoy the VIP point moves, and on my map there is just one point which means the game wont be able to end (unless the asset dies). No, I'll just say that my map plays with Asset V2.
it shouldn't really matter.. if you're making it escort you might as well have convoy so games don't always end in a tie.. We'll see later though.
Rifte, if I wanted to make a spinoff gametype from Asset Convoy, a spinoff, could I do that? I'm planning on making an Asset: Convoy style game, but the ODSTs would instead be Spartan IIIs, and the VIP may not be Vergil (haven't decided yet).
I don't think a petition is neccessary. I would suggest the idea in the suggestion forum. If the staff liked the idea, they may implement it. I think it's a good idea.
There actually was one a while ago. Personally, I don't really care much for this topic. It would be nice to have one, but I don't mind if it doesn't.
I'm makeing an asset map and i have some questions/ideas about my map. i am trying to create a unique way to reach the destination. Here are my ideas. 1. After 5 min a warthog spawns and you have to drive it across the map to hit a ramp sending you into the destination. 2.At 5 min a warthog spawns and you have to drive it to the hornet spawn point and fly it into the destination. 3. if all else fails go with the normal hornet spawn at 5 min. What do you guys think?
I recommend the first because there are less unwanted events. Things such as the hornet being stolen, destroyed, ect are highly possible if you took the 2nd route.
