I have been getting frustrated with the amount of time it takes for my Spartan to perform the assassination animation. Thoughts?
It's almost always easier just to shoot the guy. Assassinations aren't about effectively killing someone. They're about embarrassing the enemy.
I enjoy my ultra rare animation too much to give it up. Makes me laugh hysterically every time. If I played professionally then I would probably turn it off. This is why we have the 'option'.
Well, you can turn it off in the controls if you want so it doesn't matter. People who use animations are just taking a risk.
i think its cool to have it on, after all you have to hold it to enter the animation, it makes you feel good if say you are dueling in breakout and catch the other guy slipping
I turn it off. Beatdowns to me are cooler and I cant stand losing a kill. Also why I slide instead of spartan charge, I wont get locked into an animation and the recovery time is so much efficient
If you're a try hard, then no. It's not worth potentially losing a kill, or accidentally activating it.
Personally, I have assassinations on, but if they'res more the one guy, I just tap the bumper for the beatdown.
i play with them on, and love hearing the back-breaking effect every time. do i die sometimes after i complete the animation? sure. does it affect my gameplay enough to have it turned off? nah.
I love the assassinations, although I've never played much Halo competitively and I'd probably turn them off if I did, but I just feel like a badass every time I do an assassination xD I got 'shove it' a few days ago and I think 343 should make it so that it registers the kill earlier, as it takes quite a while at the moment.
