This seems like a great opportunity to get some answers. I can foresee them only choosing softball questions, though. Anyway, I made this thread so we could discuss what questions we asked and voted for/against. My question was about funding cuts to NASA and stem cell research, but it didn't get very many votes. Also, keep this discussion about questions and not about flaming.
The most pressing concern is jobs, but government can't create jobs, just faciliate the growth for them, so I would ask if he would re-institute the Bush Tax Cuts. This will help small business, which is the majority source of jobs in the U.S. When can we expect to reap the benefits of the Afghani mineral deposits? When can we start using the oil in Iraq? How does he plan to make our nation energy independent?
I submitted another question, "I just want to get this out there so... It seems that you have a very, very slim chance for re-election, so when are you going to stop playing Mr. Nice Guy and man up? You need to take control and stop compromising on your beliefs." Hopefully this one gets more votes than my other one.
If that is one thing I can't stand about the man is how submissive he is to attack. At the first sign of trouble he tosses all of his beliefs aside to make someone happy only to trample on his own people. Everything he says ends up being a 'misquote' or a 'I misspoke' and for some reason never has a clear opinion in controversial issues. I'm not entirely for nor against the liberal agenda, but if Obama has any hopes for reelection, he needs to give the people something, hell, anything at this point.
