Artifex Industries "A facility researching alien technology masks its true intent behind its imposing walls." Behold, my second Halo: Reach map: Artifex Industries. This map was created for use in a machinima i'm making, so the main focus was aesthetics. The vertical design of this map was partially inspired by my first map, The Waterfall Club. This map, however, is much taller, and with more going on between each floor. Weapon List Lobby: Energy Sword x 4 Research Floor: Concussion Rifle Plasma Rifle Plasma Repeater Focus Rifle Needle Rifle Plasma Grenade Radio Tower: Sniper Rifle Admin's Office: Energy Sword Gravity Hammer Vehicle List Research Floor Banshee Landing Pad Falcon x 2 Wraith x 1 Shade Turrets stand guard over the entrance. The main lobby. The lobby is lined with seats for waiting clients. (I realize that using "fixed" weapons in a map is an issue, but the Energy Swords are there for purely cosmetic reasons. Feel free to grab one if you really gotta.) This is a three-dimensional representation of the Artifex Industries insignia. Receptionist's desk. Artifex Industries. The circular ramps lead up to the lifts and ramps to higher floors. Front left: Lift to Research floor. Back right: Ramp to the Cryo Center. Cryo Center and staircase to Research Floor Open Cryo pod and health station. Research floor The Banshee can leave through the open wall. Conference Center (Where the Juicy effect is located if you want to get rid of it) Weapon testing and staircase from Cryocenter. Firing Range. Lift to highest floors and landing pad. Landing pad. Radio Tower. Ramps to the Administrator's office Administrator's office. Gravity Hammer on Display. Admin's desk.
I Love this map. Ill download it and give some feedback later, but from the pics it looks amazing. I love creating realistic looking buildings, and this is one of the best. keep forging!
SO beautiful.... man I don't kow how forgers do this kind of stuff but it is soo crazy, I can never think outside of the box enough to make something cool and functioing.
this is amazing, being able to do this with the budget. amazing design. many original ideas, with the logos, and the setup of everything like the swords.
Yeah, this map blew me away. What really astounds me is how much you built given the budget. Although the flag stands seem a bit overused. You should set this up for infection, I would imagine the zombie spawning in the open cryo-pod. And I also love the Artifex Industries insignia that you included, it looks nice. The only issue I see this having with actual gameplay is that I'm guessing there's only one way up to each floor, which never works well on a map. However, given that this is an aesthetic map, I have to admit, it's one of the best I've ever seen. Sure, sculptures are always nice and take talent, but to make the map functional is even more impressive in my opinion. Great work.
Thanks for all the feedback guys When I get the chance, i'll definitely make some changes to make it more compatible with different gameplay types. And yeah i'm starting to realize i did go a bit crazy with the flag stands xD It was hard to ignore something that didn't hurt my budget, especially after exhausting the whole thing, but like i said, I'll make some changes and get back to ya!

looks great it needs more weapons in it and maybe make it a infection map because it would be great to be infection
This map has some amazing aesthetics... the way you incorporated those pyramid inclines really adds a unique feel to the map.

NICE! Wow man, I'm not gonna lie, this is pretty sweet. I love the AI emblem structure you made. And for some reason when I think about the title, I think about Mass Effect 2 =/ idk, But yeah, good job, better than I could ever do =)
