    GAMEPLAYS ADDED!!!

    For those of you that actually enjoyed the MLG Warlock 1v1's of Halo 2, I bring you this map. Archetype V1.
    This is a map very much like Warlock. But it is it's own map. This map is smaller then Warlock, but it was due to space concerns and the ability to travel across the map quickly. It has 2 main bases and 2 side platforms. There is of course a middle. Bridges also attach the middle to the side platforms. This is the very first version of this map. The current weapon set is 8 Battle Rifles and 4 Carbines. There are 4 Plasma's and 8 Frags. There is also an invisibility that spawns every 3 minutes. All of this can of course be changed. Since this is the first version. The map is pretty much strictly for competitive 1v1's. It might work with 2v2's, but it would be very fast and very hectic. It is designed to be played with "MLG Settings". BR start. I started this map on my own. Then a friend asked to help. That would be Juxer. He has helped so much. This could not of been possible without him. His forging and attention to detail is much greater then mine. I have learned an amazing amount of things about Forge. And I hope to work with him some more. So please download this map and please leave some feedback. I hope to make this a "Standard" competitive 1v1 map. And even though I just joined, I cannot thank you all enough for what you have provided. Thank you. EDIT: For some reason. This post is just a block of words and what not. On every other forum it came out properly. :/


    Here are 2 test gameplays featuring the number 1 1v1 player from QsK, Wes2000 and the maps main creator Juxer. Wes is known as QsK's best 1v1. And by watching these, I would like to see how Juxer would do if he wasn't on a European connection. ;)

    Wow, this looks really good.
    Could you post a few more pics.
    Also, the fence walls, although flat look very sloppy because of those ridges at the bottom.

    Yeah, the fence bottom was originally designed so that you could see down to bottom mid to inhibit camping. Because there was originally supposed to be shotguns. But we are also out of walls, so we have to run with it. Although I will see what Juxer thinks. He uses items very ingeniously. He did probably 90% of the actual Forging. I will post some more pics. I just need to take some more. I figured that was a good one because what you do not see is just an exact replica of what you do see. Lemme know what else guys. Thanks!

    although your map looks very neat would you kindly change the title of your thread to your maps name only please. btw i do see a resemblance to warlock. other than good job

    Sorry about the title. If a mod could change that, that would be great.

    The original inspiration did come from Warlock. BUT, if you play this map, it is it's own map.

    This map must be played by 2 players of equal skill. Otherwise the lesser of the 2 WILL get walked on.

    I'm glad you're all liking it, and I do agree with the looks of the fence walls top mid. But the problems was that all single and double walls were needed somewhere else.

    If anyone wants to help me forge or just give me good company when forging send me a friend request. I'm also making a MLG-style CTF-map at the moment :).

    if this is your first map post, than yay to you. very nice interlocking, I think this is what all map posts should look like.

    So our (Juxer's and I) map has almost 120 DL's in just over 24 hours. And the most negative feedback we have gotten was replacing the Active Camo with a Mauler. Any one here have any suggestions?

    Thats how it usually is with every map.... but it looks like it was made pretty well, EXTREMELY small from the pics maybe 1v1, but i dont think that the fence walls look too sloppy.

    Thanks for all of the comments. I think we are going to release one (maybe 2) more versions and hold a poll on various sites about which one to keep.

    I have gotten some responses about making a couple of versions of this map. We are not going to do that. I am currently contemplating doing a larger 4v4 map that is inspired by this one. But that will be down the road.

    I am currently planning on helping Juxer with his current map that I honestly have to say, will make jaws drop. All I will say is that the general design of this map takes alot of queues from Midship. But it has that "Halo 1 LAN party feel" to it.

    I also have a few ideas rolling around in my head. But my next personal project will probably be the 4v4 inspired map of Archetype.

    Thanks for everything. You guys have helped more then you know. And for the love of God, do not stop putting out the revolutionary things that you do. I have honestly spent so much time just checking out every map here.

    the camo for mauler as others have said, and i would have to say, though not eazily, i could probably break it, 2 grenade jumps and i would be on top the map, looking over everything, now, i know that is not something that would be done without an enemy looking, laughing, then killing, but it could be a problem at points in the game, also, walls as floors i personally never have been a fan of, but you did a pretty good job of not making some ridiculous design out of em...the fence walls as floors...i would have to suggest turning them around so that the notches are on the outside...hmm...as for that i think you have yourself a really good map here, and i am very pleased to see a first post so good...keep up the forging u 2

    (u wanted negative feedback, so i thought i'd be slightly more critical with my opinion then usual)

    Thanks for the thread name change. (to whomever) And definitely thank you for your feedback.

    The reason I let the fence floors be after Juxer suggested it, was because it looked like a wagon wheel the other way. :/

    With them this way, they kinda seem to be supporting the middle box. And it was easier on the eyes when looking at it mid game and saying to yourself "why would they make it look like that?". This way you really don't pay attention to it and continue on with your battle. :)

    The next version is definitely going to consist of the deletion of the Invisibility and the addition of the Mauler. Now when we make this next version, should Juxer or I make a new thread or just continue on this one?
