Map name: Arboretum; Map layout: Symmetrical Map gametypes: Team Slayer/FFA Weapons on map (human weapons): three DMR's, one magnum, one grenade launcher, two shotguns, and two frag. grenades; Weapons on map (covenant weapons): two plasma repeaters, two needle rifles, one plasma pistol, one needler, one concussion rifle, and four plasma grenades; Map description: Arboretum is symmetrical in design containing both red and blue sides. The layout of the map is very fluid, for there are many ways to move out and about at every important location of the map. Moreover, the layout of the map is very simple to understand, and thus, anyone that is new to the map will be able to understand not only the theme of the map, but also how to instantly and intuitively move about the map. Also, and even although the map layout is simple to understand, Arboretum is still a very fun map to play at; there are many possible choices for map movement and map strategy. Furthermore, the artistic theme of the map also contributes towards a fun and exciting gaming experience. All in all, Arboretum is a very fun and easy map for anyone to get into or used to; Arboretum as a whole: The center glass bridge: The Arboretum room (located towards the back end of the map): P.S. If interested then download Arboretum and tell me what you think. -Thank you
Wait, I think that I have seen this thread before. Did you recreate it? The thumbnail caught my eye. I like its converse design, especially where the ramps lead you up a level, but a person on top has the option to just drop down. It is interesting and introduces a lot of map flow. I'll edit this with more information after I take a walk around on this, because I cannot tell anything from just three pictures.
Pics. of Arboretum Here are some more pics. of Arboretum: The Blue Base Side: At this point of the map one may choose between two different ways to get up to the next level. 1) a grav. lift (as seen in the photo, but keep in mind nearby enemies can hear if you choose to use the grav. lift) and 2) The narrow side incline (This is the safer bet because enemies can't hear you sneak up on them, but is the longer path for the impatient player). If you decided to use the grav. lift this is where you would land. A photo depiecting where you would be if you had kept going straight from the above photo's position. At this point one may choose one of three paths or four if you count going backwards. If you go backwards you may be able to get some kills by shooting through this window that provides a really good vantage point for the arena below. The view of the arena as depiected in the above photo. Also, if you keep going backwards from the above photo you can enter into the very most upper level of the map. If you keep following this path you have the choice of entering towards the other side of the map through the above tunnel system. Or you may choose to shoot enemy players crossing this side bridge area through this window as depiected in the photo below (But keep in mind enemies may be able to shoot you back or defeat you with a perfectly thrown grenade). Also, you may choose to keep going down the tunnel path, but instead of going all the way across to the other teams side, you may choose to drop down a tunnel located in the top center location of which will bring you to the center part of the bottom level of the map. A clearer pic. of the mentioned centered positioned tunnel in the above photo. Moreover, one may choose to look through the glass window to see enemies below. The Arboretum room: Arboretum as a whole:
