Arboretum Creator: The Fuglystick Track Name: Arboretum Map name: Forge World Average Lap time: 1:35 Description: This is a mix of terrain and skytrack that goes around the hemorrhage, alaska, and montana sections of the map. Some key features include one decently big chasm jump, a huge drop from montana down to the hemorrhage canyon, and some boobytrapped rocks(look out for the flashing lights, or use them as a timed trap to mess with other racers behind you). There's also plenty of tree located around or on the track (don't hit the trunks, but the leaves can be driven through). Also, the time to beat for a really good lap has been recorded at 1:31 so if you're a timetrial enthusiast thats you're time to beat so far. Now for the pics (Note: the pictures are from a just slightly older version of the map. The only differences are that i've edited the object colors on most of the pieces in the track. Geometry, track layout, and aesthetics(with the exception of colors)remained unchanged. Also, I removed the next gen filter from the map, which originally had both juicy and next gen.) The Start A banked S-turn that takes you up to the alaska section and into the chasm jump The chasm jump leads to a straightaway that leads into the drop down into the canyon After the drop you head into the main terrain section of the track, watch out for the boobytrapped rocks. Next is a smooth bank that leads into a track along the edges of the canyon. Watch out for the trees. The end section takes you up by a castle, then down and around to the finish line Track Overviews Q: What inspired your creation? I wanted to make a track that had a lot of trees in or near the course mostly. The rest of the track came along as me trying to make good connections as I linked the tree filled sections of the track. Q: How long did it take you to create this track? I marathon'd this track between thursday afternoon and friday morning. Total time for construction time and testing equals out to around twelve hours or so. Q: What aspect of the track took longest to make? the part I messed around with the most was probably the chasm jump. Just a lot of tweeking to make it smooth.
This is a nice map. It is smooth and fun with things to avoid but they aren't super annoying like most obstacles are on racetracks. The only problem I had was with the jump I landed and kinda bounced I had no control and rolled off the track but it's a good map man
glad to hear you liked it. With the jump i've found that when you don't go off straight it can mess with the landing, but thanks for letting me know still. just try and take off straight, and I'll remember that on my next map with a similar jump.
I have played this track a lot... This is the best track ever.... It requires skill and you can fall down, unlike most tracks where if you start in the front, you keep the first for the whole race... a Must download, and a Must play 6+ players...
