This is my first map that utilizes forge tricks like interlocking, because I just got halo 3 and my 360 for Christmas. It has a main pipeline up above, with a sniper rifle, and down low in a room is a shotgun, but the room is within line of sight of a machine gun turret... This map has potential but it was made somewhat poorly. I understand your map is one of your first to implore tricks such as interlocking, but even those are EXTREMELY sloppy. Along with aesthetics, it hinders gameplay as well. No one likes getting stuck on a nasty box. I've also noticed that your spawn point seems kind of barren, which can lead to spawn killing. Now for your post: A lot of your pictures aren't working at all. You might want to fix them, it'll help. I'd also like to see a weapons list and a larger description. Overall I'd like to see a V2 but as of now, there is nothing that'd make me want to download this.
In my opinion, dumpsters are overused. And you spelled hours wrong IVIercinator. Nice map though especaily since you just got Halo 3 on Christmas. 4/5.
this map is good for only a month of having Halo 3. Some of the map looks a bit sloppy and you could fix it up. You should definitly make a v2 and try to make it neater and more prettiful. umm, but the only problem besides that is i have no idea why the dumpsters are placed like that. If you want i may be able to help you maybe in a few days. im working on a map, finishing another and collabing with Mace on one right now. so im kinda tight but, i could give you some tips to use. looks like a great map, you have pottential, but you need to make things more cleaner/neater, definitly make a v2
I put the dumpsters there as stairs, and i tried to make it a bit sloppy, because the map IS called anarchist, but now I see there was no point for that. I'll Try to make a v2 with more thought out spawns and more clean. Thanks.
well, i see where youre going with that, if u ever get the time to check out my map Excavation, its not my best, but i didnt interlock some fences to immitate gates opening and made some slant to make an abandoned look, and people got really pissed about that...douches lol
He just got his xbox a month ago,so give himm a break,you dont have to put him down so much,at least he is trying.Give him a break on his first post and try to interlock a little better and neater. this is an example of good interlocking
@Star of Knights: It's constructive criticism. It leads to better maps, we're not doing anything wrong. Alright I see lots of potential in this map. As others have already pointed out, have cleaner interlocks. Use walls or double boxes to help line things up. Also, get rid of the dumpsters you currently have as means for getting to higher ground. As a general rule of thumb, all areas of your map should accessible by walking. The jumping will fall into place on it's own. That being said, use ramps and stairs. You may have to rearrange something but if it makes a better map, do it. Again, good start, but far from finished.
For a beginner I will admit, I'm pretty impressed. I mean the angled interlocking is always eye candy to me. However the interlocking could be improved upon quite a bit. It could use a bit of work on the structure of the map as well. The two bases seem a bit dull. Other then that I think it is pretty good. Im not really into these types of maps however because there isn't a theme to it. Im the theme sort of person however. As of now I will leave this map a 3.1/5. I have yet to play a game on it but if I do I may come back and give a review. Looking from the pictures, it looks like it is close quarters so hopefully you didnt put a rocket launcher on it. If so you may want to reconsider taking it out. And I also read you have a turret. If the turret is in a main spot high above the map, it may be time to remove or move it somewhere in which it wont be overpowering.
not all that bad of a map. it was ur first time with interlocking so with that in mind it isnt that bad. in leu of your interlocking technique you might want to line up objects by using other objects as guides; if ur trying to interlock 2 objects, put a was against the first one so that u can use it as a guide when doing the second one. good luck on your future maps!
Well I'm gonna say like everyone has been saying, it is VERY sloppy. But I have to admit, I haven't seen many beginners know how to interlock. I give you credit. I HIGHLY suggest making a v2 and straighten out everything though, since your a beginner 3/5 EDIT: Oh yeah and LORDxSAINT you spammed which is against the rules. Give him criticism on how to improve.
I put one rocket launcher that spawns 2 minutes into the game with two shots left, should i remove it?
just cus they hade halo for only a month doesnt mean theive never played before any way nice interlocking bt the over all map is so good to many dumsters looks like a cosle combat map i alos take off the rockets their seem to not be a point keep it up
