When asked if there would be multiple maps like Forge World in Halo: Reach, Ferrex didn't say no. So I'd assume that Bungie is planning on more maps like Forge World to be included in upcoming DLC, but we can't put it off as a possibility that Forge World already has alternate maps like it included on the Reach disk.
Covenant city for some Covenant-themed items. Maybe just a Covenant planet that's wide open and everything like the already-known Forge World, but with Covenant themed items? Or High Charity? I'd really like Forging somewhere on High Charity Maybe even those cool elevators from Halo 2? That'd be cool
Its not really needed, why because you can forge on every map. It would be nice though to have a change in scenery
I'd definitely buy a New Mombasa aesthetic or one like Bungie mentioned for their original plans for Forge World where it's a skyscraper under construction. Hell, just have a skyscraper under construction in New Mombasa and some surrounding buildings/landscape.
I would like a forge world made out of a similar skin to Sandbox. I would also like a snowy map like avalanche. I would be happy if the geometery was the same as forge world just with a selection of skins to chose from.
Got it. Underwater Forge World. Yes, I just totally defeated at least half [if not all] of the engine's physics BUT this would be awesomesauce.
I would like all of them in like a DLC but i have been wanting a Jungle forgeworld map Deleting trees or making them, sorta like farcry the first game. Creating tree houses and bases in the trees would be awesome
Seriously, if Bungie surprised us with another Halo, I would not doubt for a second they would give us a full terrain editor. We now have the ability to phase objects (Far Cry esque) we are a step away from complete freedom. I demand Kenya map. H3 first mission would have some sweet multi player potential.
Iv'e got the perfect one... A lave planet just like a huge rocky cavern with lava fountains and river's of lava, we could remake Star Wars Revenge Of The Sith like
Desert area with the egyptian-style "Forerunner Sandstone" pieces. Arctic area with human pieces, kind of like Halo Wars on the first few levels. Outer space, in vacuum, using Covenant pieces. Some cave-like interior, like Waterworks, using the grittier Forerunner architecture, such as the black and obsidian-colored metals on Quarantine Zone. Metropolis area using human pieces.
I vote human city for sure. A huge mostly flat grass area completely blank. On one side there are bigger rock formations and hills, and on the other a white sandy beach. Maybe coming from the hills would be a sort of gated off road or bridge you can't get through like GTA. That way it wouldn't look like its in the middle of nowhere. Everything is forged. take how big Forge World already is and imagine a forgable city with roads and skyscrapers. It would be like Miami. That would be sick.
A massive human city would be awesome. Just like forge world has Blood Gluch, Ascension etc. already built in, the human city version could have Headlong, Terminal, Turf, Beaver Creek built in as well empty spaces
I voted Beach. I like coastline areas, and I think it would be a great change of pace. After all, who doesn't like Zanzibar, Death Island, Last Resort, or even that one base on Valhalla. Halo needs more watersports.
It definitely sounds like we may see more dedicated forge maps, undoubtedly with different terrains, in DLC. Reach Forge World Q and A Round 2: Ferrex, July 23, 2010
Although another forge world would be AMAZING, im not sure bungie actually would do it. We can always hope.
I don't see how a metropolis would work for a Forge World. It has to be open, and a metropolis, by definition, can't be.
