If anything goes down, it is out of my control. You can help by reporting any dead links or images.
Is it just me or are all the download links broken? Every one of them leads to a different picture on BNet.
Yeah, I think Bungie is just fiddling with their website because I never visited any of those links. I fixed all the links but still, Bungie should at least warn people before completely changing the url system. -.-
Latest Updates: Fixed Sandbox link Removed signature from first post to make conversion to next post simpler.
THIS ISN"T A TRUE CANVAS YET!!!! Ugh... You forgot the starting points in each round. Now I'm gonna spawn somewhere else and I have to delete everything...
What he means is that most canvases forget to delete the items that are only seen in other gametypes. In forge, when the gametype is on the default 'all gametypes' the starting points in other gametypes are active, even though they are not seen, making things very difficult. Also, a good canvas should place all the essential gametype objects in one area, and delete the rest, let me explain. Say, in the CTF gametype on a original map, there are two spawn points, two plant points, spawn areas, and starting points. All of these should be deleted, and the next game the two spawn and plant points should be there, this is because they are essential for the map to function. Move these objects to a general position, possibly beside one spawn point, and this will make things much easier. Kudos on the great thread, but I'm all about improvement. Here's what you gotta do: Alongside the canvases, add budget glitch + OLN canvases(if necessary). Condense (no stupid pics or description) Delete the OLN objects for the non-BG sandbox canvases, they aren't necessary. A simple canvas should be simple. Direct links for Sandbox Canvases. Explain the budget glitch and OLN 4 teh n0obs. Find/make a Longshore OLN+BG canvas.
For Pit Stop you can just play MLG The Pit and delete all the weapons, equipment, etc. If you're going to do that, just remember to delete the Overshields and Camos in the windows at the top of the bases.
Hey Seaboro, haven't seen you in a while. What happened to District 9? I was deciding whether or not to add a budget glitch canvas, I'm still not sure if I should because I said "All Canvas Maps" and listed all of them. I don't think that I should have to do anymore (Yes, I know, lazy). And why should I condense if people do not know how to use Control-F or are too lazy to scroll through a 10 second thread? As posted at the bottom of my thread which you should have read AND the people who actually made the maps, none of the canvases are mine. Still, if you would like to provide a link to better canvases, that would be great. You said to "condense" but there are over 15 Sandbox Canvases. Not only would I have to split up the thread because of all the pictures, it would confuse everyone. That is why all you have to do is click on "Variety" like I mentioned in the bottom which you also should have read. Haven't posted budget glitch maps and probably won't, if people don't know about the OLN then why would they download the map? I have no idea what BG means. Too many abbreviations for my taste, please explain what you mean.
You really can't figure out what BG means? You actaully said Budget Glitch in you own post. Anyway, some of these are good, others such as the Sandbox canvas are not. Certain maps have default items that count towards the object limit of the map. For thoese types of maps, an OLN canvas would be more benificial.
Yea, I mentioned Budget Glitch but I never said "BG". And yea, I linked to a variety of Sandbox Canvases, many with original objects. I said that at the bottom of the thread . Just click on "[VARIETY]" and you'll be taken to the thread. Also, I'll be looking at more canvases and hopefully switching the ones I have now with better ones. EDIT: I've compiled a list of all maps with the objective objects fixed and will post them all once I get a Pit Stop canvas. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you have it message me.
Ok. Nice work. This will come in handy to members looking for the type of canvas they are looking for. Thanks.
I personnally wouldn't bother with a pitstop canvas as non of the map geometry has been changed. Once you have made the canvas for it it will be indentical to the normal pit map. Otherwise a very nicely presented post by making it more appealing than just a boring list it makes it alot easier to use and is also helpful if people cant quite remember the map they need a canvas for on the spur of the moment. nice work!
Oh, wow, thats you geass bandit? I didn't notice. And ya, I'm still for the District 9 game, but I can't get much gametime in lately, but maybe in the future. All my suggestions were towards a universal canvas database type thread. You mastered the picture, description, and simple canvas for all maps kinda thing, but I was thinking of expanding to something universal, which is really whether you want to expand or not. And I edited GeneticSpartain's four cript OLN maps, there in my fileshare if you want to add them. They have no OLN objects for the simple canvases, blocked crypt holes, and other details like that, that I find the more useful. I prefer these canvases over all the other ones, they are pretty maxed out. And again, just a option.
Yea, I also want to do it but I just got Halo 3: ODST and am focused on getting Vidmaster, playing on Firefight, and checking out/forging on the new maps. And thanks for those maps. I'll PM you with a form that you can use and I will add it to the Sandbox Canvas thread (or maybe even as the main download link). I'm creating a "Pit Stop" canvas with deleted objective items so it may or may not be up soon. And as for going universal, I just made this as a self-help thread that I could refer to if I needed a canvas. But heck, the thread right now is better than the current stickied one. REQUESTING STICKAH!
