Airborne By THeGaME41 Hey whats up guys? Today I'm releasing my second forged map Airborne. From the beginning of this map I had the idea of Creating a construct inspired map but have it be symmetrical and add a lot more routes around the map, thus Airborne. Airborne is a map that that focuses heavily on proper team set ups and power weapon control. The map also has 2 jetpacks on the bottom floor that can really wreak havoc in the game, I would almost consider them a power weapon on Airborne. Allowing players to jetpack right from the bottom of the map all the way to the top if done correctly. As well as giving players the ability to jetpack to areas not reachable by foot. With 10 second soft kill barriers these positions are dangerous but can really surprise teams and break their set ups. First and foremost Airborne is a king of the hill map, which was the main concern while I was forging however it plays TS nicely as well. Wow this looks amazingly clean! Every picture looked really well forged and I like the colors used on the blocks. Looks like a very fun map to play on, i'll have to get a game together sometime. My only concern is the middle looks a bit too open? Did you encounter any problems with this while playtesting? Nice post, nice clean map, nice job! +1 download
dude whats up i rember you whent through alot aof testing of this map about a week ago and it was fun to play on gameplay went really well on it im downloading now
Thanks for the feedback. The middle of the map is not really intended to be a spot where you want to be. Like construct in Halo 3 you didn't want to be in the middle you wanted to control sword room when the hill was at the bottom and sword/ the streets if the hill was on the streets. My map is pretty similar in regards to what set ups are desirable. Sword is good to have since it can see the middle/ gold/ the streets and rockets spawn there. The one thing I did want to be different about my map unlike construct there are several ways to get to the top. There are 2 gold lifts 2 jetpacks than can fly to the top of the map and break setups. Plus the 2 'purple' lifts, sword legs and the 2 bottom street areas which both have 2 ways to go up to the top each. So the game plays similar to construct yet it is harder to predict how the other team is going to try and re-take top control.
This map looks very well forged but a little open is some areas. The battle could be a little to intense so try adding some cover. Other than that great map...
Look very well forged and it looks like gameplay would be smooth. I agree, though, that you should probably add sufficient cover in some areas, as there seem to be easy kill zones. I am going to test this with some friends and I will tell you more about where, if needed, to add stuff
