I'm taking it in February to get into this special program. I'm really nervous on how I'll do and all the stares I'm going to get from these high school kids. Any suggestions?
I did fine, but I am amazing at Tests, so it depends on your GPA. I got a 31 and a 2000 on SAT and GPA is 4.3, so go off of that.
Well, a 31 sounds good. I really don't know the ranking scale of it. I'm not trying to get into a college, but into this program. (I'm in 7th grade)
M for Mature, Mature = 18+ ANWAYS, lol yea, 7th Grade! thats insane, ACT is nothing to freak out about. Most of it is general knowledge questions like general math-algebra, reading skills (read some **** and answer a question about it) and history ( most of it is charts) the science part is somewhat hard and the essay is just plain annoying, but the topic is ALWAYS easy as ****. Im a fckin senior and have takin this baby twice already, don't sweat it, if you don't do well the 1st time, you (since your only in 7th grade) have PLENTY of second chances. You'll do fine
mature is actually usually 17+...read your back of boxes more carefully! you might learn about very rare occurances of seizures!
ACT, ah bad memories, especially since there only from a few months ago. I cant believe you guys are taking it in 7th grade, my school doesn't require it till the end of junior year with retakes early in senior year. That things pretty hard, well for me anyway, i did great on math and science, but the reading and writing stuff dragged me down to a 22, but despite the foul grade i did get accepted to The University of Michigan, so its not an all deciding test, just work through it and don't delay on problems, or you'll run out of time and have to guess alot ;D
I think if you take extra courses and AP classes and such, you get a higher grade, catapulting you in front of your class.
If you take honors classes, you can have a GPA of up to 5.0 in High School. As for the ACT's I took it twice both after nights of heavy drinking, and other acts that you young kids shouldn't be thinking about, and I got a 27 both times, it's not a hard test by any means.
