After my old AC-130 not being any good at all, I started this morning to make a proper effort into what a real AC-130 is like. There are going to be 25% Zombies in an AC-130 with humans below. Unsure what to do with the humans to keep them outside but I'll have to think it through... Real AC-130 My AC-130 What do you think? It takes 6 seconds for the rockets to reach the ground so what should I do with the humans? Please Comment
I have to admit this isn't fantastic =/. Interlock more, make the body thinner and more curved, make the wings longer and make the propellers look like propellers. Update this with new pics when you redo it.
I disagree. I know you're making this for your AC-130 map, so you're gonna need to use little budget to make this. For what you've done, tho, it's great. Body proportions are close to the same, you included the whole fin tail, and you even added the wing engines! Nice touch! The only thing to make it look even more awesome would be to lengthen the wingspan of the plane. Based on your provided image of an actual Spectre, maybe a wall and a half to two whole walls added to each wing would make it look just that much closer to the real thing. If it's angled the same way as in Modern Warfare 2, players on the ground wouldn't tell much of a difference, because of foreshadowing of the wing. Overall great job so far.
You want my honest opinion. The wings are terrible. They are way off scale and not the correct legnth. It looks decent but this is far from done. You need to redue the wings and the a few other things. Try to make it more to scale. It would have been nice if the center was much bigger so there could be a crawl space inside. Good idea, just needs a lot of work. 3/10
Problems Submitted: Wingspan: Well, I would extend it but the lower one pushes into the skybubble floor and if I put another wall underneath, it looks like there is a gap in between the two walls. Centre too Small: It isn't, especially for this gametype Centre too Big: It isn't, it's just right Interlocking: I interlocked heavily. Must have done S&Q method at least 40 attempts. Propellers: That was a little extra I added on, you wont see it in game and they look okay anyway. I am going to try to make a maze down below with many teleporters, one leads to a rocket launcher and the rest lead back to the middle. It'll be hopefully a difficult one.
Gravity lifts would make a great aesthetic for the blades. The blue stream created by the grav lifts would also look similar to the wind stream.
You should praise the spectre, not try to make terrible suck up imitations in forge. If you are going to do something like this at least take the time to merge the pieces and make it somewhat resemble the actual plane. Or at least make it a fun game. This is just another re-run of "duck hunt" which I have never found at all fun.
in answer to your problem about skybubble floor, if you ghost merge it, it wont recognize the floor, to allow seamless placement...
