Map Title: Abstract v2.0 Combining aesthetic capabilities of Forge with a casual gaming experience Description: This is my first post on Forgehub, but this is FAR from my first map created. Basically, this map is an abstract art museum, but with weapons and grenades scattered around. This an all around Slayer map. that meens SWAT, Slayer, Team Slayer, etc. It is vital to control higher ground and the power weapons to get the edge on the enemy. There are a couple of nice sniping and hiding spots, so look sharp! Now for some pics: Overview 1 Overview 2 This was taken from the BR nest in the corner. This was taken from atop what I call Fence Box Frenzy. It's basically a bunch of Fence Boxes interlocked into an arch type thing. Overview 3 Weapons List: Assault Rifle: 2 Battle Rifle: 4 Shotgun: 2, 0 clips in each Sniper Rifle: 3, 0 clips in each SMG: 1 Spiker: 2 Magnum: 1 Needler: 1 Brute Shot: 1 Rocket Launcher: 1, 0 clips Mauler: 1 Beam Rifle: 1 Frag Grenades: 4 Plasma Grenades: 4 Spike Grenades: 5 Firebomb Grenades: 1 Bubble Shield: 1 Power Drain: 1 Grav Lift: 1 Regenerator: 1 Oversheild: 1 Final Thoughts: It took me a long time to make the map. This is a really nice and neat map but in my opinion i think anyone could have thought of this.Not to original.Sorry.But i like how u interlocked and stuff
this is okay i think this is more of a interlocking test map for you though. it doesn't seem like it would play very well but i do like a few structures, although the use of teleporters does mess people up some of the time. i think you should put a little more thought into the layout of the building and structures, then pick a gametype and go around that
Yeah, it was a merging test for me, and i didnt really plan it much. i just threw together stuff to take cover behind, climb up, etc. it wasnt meant to be a "totally new original something no ones ever seen before map." It was just something I thought would be kinda fun. And it plays pretty well. I dont know what kind of gametype this would have. it would be Team Slayer with a new name. that's the only reason why I didnt have a set gametype
THat's what it looks like to me. I was skimming through the comments and noticed that there were only a couple over 1 line long. I hate those kind of comments. They give no information. The map looks okay. I wouldnt call it one of a kind or the best but it still looks good. The interlocking shown in this look like ideas have been taken from other maps. It is nice interlocking but it looks very sloppy. Not the most Aesthetically pleasing map. Also, there seems to be a big variety of weapons available, that's generally not the best thing. Good job on the map though, keep it up. You've got potential to make epic maps.
this map looks very good. i really like the high levels of it. i like maps like this where you have to be higher up to have a good advantage. very nice job.
linubidix: Thank you for a decent comment. your right that it is a little sloppy but I worked on it at night a lot while i was a little tired, which probably isnt the best time to work on a map. but there are some fairly neat interlocked structures. just saying. also, there isnt a wide variety of weapons. there is only 1 or 2 of them, and the ones that have more of them on the map, they have 0 spare clips so it doesnt last long. Thanks again and i'll try to make my next map neater and mabye a little more original. EDIT: ... For some reason, if u try to DL the map now, then you cant... i dont know, but it doesnt look like any body else wants to... o well
