This is basically a preview/I need help with the map thread. Before I tell you my problem I will quickly describe the map. Abandon Ship is an infection map where you start off inside a Floating space ship high above the ground. You must find your way off the ship before it explodes. Once youve taken one of the 2 drop pods or the emergency drop exit you will find yourself on an uncharted planet with plenty of spots you can choose from to hold off the zombies.

This is my problem. I cant get my drop pods to work properly. They normally break apart mid air or kind of work but still make you loose health. Other than that and apart from spawns and weapons the map is ready for testing.

Feedback on the map is welcome and appreciated

The map is in my fileshare: TattlingBee255 incase you would like to take a look

I remember watching a tutorial about drop pods. In fact he said if your pod is not working properly (like breaking apart early). then you need to fix some of the walls that encase the pod.

I am very sorry I forgot to mention that I had watched the video and used it to make my drop pod. Its just that Im having trouble fiddling around with it and I was just wondering if theres anything obvious that im doing wrong. Thanks for the video though

As I said it is probably a nit-picky thing that makes you slam your head into the nearest object in your vicinity. If all else fails, Remake it. Trust me it sucks but it works... sometimes... >.>

ive found in my own use of drop pods on multiple maps, that one of the big things determining success of the drop pod is height. the farther you fall, the more likely it becomes that the pod will break apart, killing you. once you reach a certain height, a drop pod becomes a very very risky idea, since increased distance increases the amount of time for something to go wrong. the best way for you to resolve the issue is as said above, to remake the drop pods, and just pray for a good landing.
