I brought my computer with me this weekend, but we didn't have internet where we were, so I opened up GIMP for the first time in a couple weeks and whipped up a few things. I'll put them in the order I made them. 1-UP Large Piece Spoiler Abstract Sig Spoiler Wallpaper Spoiler V1 I didn't really like it so I made something similar from scratch again. I like the new one a lot better. V2 Spoiler Halo Sig Spoiler Cnc would be appreciated for all of them.
so those wallpapers.. what did you use for them? acrophysis? as for the abstract sig, i think its too simple.. theres not much going on.. sometimes it can work but i just don't feel it here. now your halo sig is... well i cant tell what i think.. i guess i would have to see the stock, but the swirly thing coming from his hand is kinda cool, but not great, and it fseems like it shouold be coming from the top shouldn't it?
The 1-up piece is interesting... it seems a bit on the simple side, though. Did you make the mushroom yourself, or is that a render? As Knight said, the abstract sig seems a bit plain and empty. Try adding some more effects, the part you have is a great start, but there could be more. Wallpaper 1 looks like one of the default random fractals in Apophysis... Wallpaper 2 is interesting. There is the slightest bit of fractal or C4D showing in the center. The lighting seems a bit extreme as well. I really like the Halo sig. The color scheme is nice, lighting is interesting, and that swirl effect is pretty cool. The text could be positioned differently, but its ok. Overall, a pretty nice sig, good work.
I don't know what acrophysics are. For the first one, I drew two flames then did a line nova and a few purple gradients. For the second one, I drew flames in the BG, then line nova, then supernova, then a swirling three-barred gradient. I'm not sure I know what you mean for the Halo sig. What do you mean by "from the top"? Here's the stock: Spoiler The mushroom was a render What sort of effects would you suggest for the abstract sig? I could burn the center a little bit to help the brightness Thanks for the feedback. I'm new to GIMP and all that so this sort of feedback really helps me.
