First of all, this is a v1. It needs a bit of an upgrade in places such as the zombie spawn, and flat rocks. This map was inspired by the beggining of the level, "the truth and reconciliation" from Halo CE. I'm planning on a v2 and a better version in halo Reach. This is a firefight type infection game. Zombies: Spawn with plasma pistols and energy swords as alpha zombie. Only pistols as other zombies. they have normal recharging shields, but can take only 50% damage. Spartans: They spawn with magnums and AR's. They have 50% slower recharging shields but deal more damage than the covenant. Zombies have 2 maulers, 2 brute shots,, 1 fuel rod, 5 carbines, 1 hammer, 3 needlers, 8 plasma rifles, and 2 beam rifles, (one hidden) This is the spartans weapon supply, they have 1 rocket launcher, 4 brs, 4 snipers, 8 ARs, 1 smg, 2 magnums, 1 deatached machine gun turret, 2 shotguns, 1 regenerator, and 1 bubble shield. Pretty good, maybe a lot of power weapons even though it's infection. But whatever. Overall the forging is great and pretty smooth. Good job.
This map doesn't seem like it got the attention that it deserves. I haven't played it but the forging is gorgeous, and it seems like the gameplay really emphasizes the last stand feeling of firefight. The only problem I see possible is spawn killing. I really like the idea, and it forces teamwork and communication, something that so few maps require these days. I'll give this a download, it's an amazing map.
1st off.. i liked the canvas of the map, so i downloaded it and im currently making my own map on it.. but, sadly as i looked at it.. i found so many holes and bumps that i ended up replacing almost every piece to make it smoother and to have no holes in it.. to say the forging is gorgeous is an outright lie. sorry.. but i guess when i made my first ghost merged map it looked liek crap, but v2 of it was outstanding. so ya i liked the design, so im downloading it and giving it a tune up for me and my friends to enjoy.
Yeah I was kinda debating on whether to post it or not, because the v2 sill be so much better, but I just did it.
There was only 1 problematic bump, and a couple holes that were so small that they didn't affect gameplay. While the infected spawn could use some touch-up aesthetically, this is still an amazing map. By the way, there's an area behind the receiver node teleporter, what's that for? It has a teleporter back there but it always blocked. Also it wouldn't hurt to add another receiver.
