Why does the default Forge lighting look 10x better than the actual Customs lighting or when baking the lighting in Forge? (for indoor maps in my case) When I load my map in Forge it's beautiful, but when I bake the lighting everything becomes butt ugly and dark with small pixelated patches of light everywhere (those are my 30 or so placed lights).

Is there a way I can make the baked lighting on my map look exactly like the default Forge lighting? I haven't kept up with new Forge techniques since earlier this year when I rage quitted Forge for this very issue.

My budget is very low. Nothing over 100%.

EDIT: I'll see if I can post a video later showing the dramatic changes.

Thanks, that's some good info. I found the cube map on my map, but it's out of the way and not covered up or anything.

Light bake should make your map look better. Using a lot of small static lights will create those pixelated shadows long before you hit 100. The tip is to change the lights from static to dynamic around the affected areas.

And let's say you don't like the tinting of blocks when they bake? Just turn light bake off on an object by object basis.

Another trick that i use is to just grab the lights I'm wanting to look at. Takes away all the pixelation

I'm guessing you didn't build your map without baking the lights?

I bake the lights a lot, but that was back in January before all the lighting updates made my map super dark.

your shadows are pixelated because the lights you placed on your map are not dynamic, which will give you lower quality shadows.
