    Huh? Ehh so you mean that the right answer is 14/2=7!?

    That's like saying 9-2=7 or 9+14+10-26=7!

    Where do you get that number 2 from anyways?

    omg!

    replace the dashes in the date with 0s: 9014010
    divide by the number of letters in HALO: 9014010 / 4 = 2253502.5
    replace the decimal with division: 2253502 / 5 = 450700.4
    use the number in the position relative to the full game Halo: Reach is in the series:
    450700.4

    7

    by god...

    Seriously though, why does it matter.

    Bungie has a pointless obsession with 7 like Jim Carey has with 23.

    I bet if you tried really hard you could find the number 23 in there too...

    Its more fun to watch people argue about a number reference on the internet.

    Sig'd :p

    Replace dots with division.
    9/14/10 = 0.06428571428571428571....
    It's a repeating decimal because Halo: Reach will live on forever.

    My birthday is september 14th, and im turning 7teen.
    Oh bungie you shouldnt have.

    as far as settin the release 117 days after beta, im sure thats actually backwards.
    They set the beta 117 days BEFORE the release.

    but you know what got me thinking...
    9.14.10
    S.E.V.E.N
    I thought it was a longshot at first, but i noticed that the 1's and the E's were in corresponding spots. It goes along with the "no mathrequired" rule.
    Now if someone is able to link each number to the letter, that would solve it...
    S=9
    E=1
    V=4
    N=0
    solve that one....
    Or you could half ass and say "SEPTember ololol"

    I don't think it was intentional, I think that September 14th was just the date on which they predicted they would finish the game and that their favorite number being 7 had nothing to do with it. The 117 days thing, though, I'm fairly sure was intentional. It's too bizarre to be a coincedence.

    I agree. I don't think Bungie releasing games in September has anything to do with the number 7. This is almost on the same level as the person you wrote on the Halo Wikia that if you join up 3 key locations in Africa (in the Halo story) you get a giant 7 symbol! No way!
