That looks cool! I'm glad they did it for Gold and Silver because those were my favorite pokemon games!
Meh. I don't think handheld Pokemon games work in 3D - only the console games kind of pulled it off. It's so freaky having half of the objects in the game made of 2D sprites. Really, the only 3D part about this is the environment, and like Spin said, it looks too much like Minecraft.
Downloaded this the other day, and I have to say, they did a nice job. Although at some parts I wish there were a bird's-eye-view of it. That may be just because I am so used to the layout of the game from that view, I have not adjusted to it yet. It is a great perspective to relive it with and all, and this will take up my hours to come.
Man, you got my hopes up. At first I thought it was for the 3DS, and then I was like "Oh maybe they'll finally make a super game with all the gens, all the regions and updated graphics." That would be my wet dream. But of course, there's no money in that later on, and, not really sure, but maybe they're thinking of adding more gens? I'm not really up to date on Pokemon news.
Ticky, I'm sure they are working on a 3DS Gen6 at the moment, along with a 3DS Ruby/Sapphire remake. It would follow the pattern they have set for remakes and i doubt they would pursue the DS any longer with the 3DS being out for a while now.
If Gamefreak made a proper 3D version along the lines of Pokemon Stadium, but a million times better, for console, say WiiU, I'd probably buy the WiiU just for that. I was waiting for years for them to announce it, but the assholes just kept it to handheld. Apparently, there's "big Pokemon news" coming soon, but it'll probably just be another handheld game. I are be sad.
