3 Fried Ants Created and co-forged by Insane54, Dthen, Recon Speller and B3NW. Heavily inspired by MLG Compound. Description: There was once an ancient battlefield here, there still is. War has broken out between the two great nations of the red columns and the blue columns. The red columns killed one of the blue columns. Most of the blue columns have gone into hiding around the map, but a small squad of brave soldiers square up to face off against the mighty red column army. Their cause is not lost, for they have the leg machine. Only now you and your friends are stuck here too and things are about to get dangerous, try not to die! Screenshots: Overview shots: The red column collection has a red column on top. This is to show that it is clearly a collection. The blue column collection, armed with their powerful leg machine. A clear view of how the red columns could easily overpower the blue columns were it not for the leg machine. This blue column is a ninja and is hiding from the red columns. A close up view of the tube going up to the hole in the crypt's ceiling. This was heavily inspired by many popes's Crypt of Doom map. This is the middle level of the sniper tower. This is the gradient wall. This is the red base with a unique pallet bridge which is unlike any other. With this pallet bridge, should you fall off, you will only fall a short distance. This wall is strategically and tactically placed to give the map more gameplay. This is the magnificent centre structure; behold its grace and majesty. These pallets are placed here so that they won't be lonely during the cold desert nights. This is the fermented kitten. This is the red base. This is the puma - the snake which slithers through the map. This is Superman, but only twice. Finally, this is the invisible chocolate bar. This map was designed and forged by Insane54, Dthen, Recon Speller and B3NW. oh my god. This must be one of the funniest posts I've read in a long time. I'm downloading right now. I have but one question... is it set up for all gametypes? or just the one it was made for... because it looks like it would be great for a bunch of random minigametypes I have lying around (they're very lonely without the pallets). and is it just me? or did not all of the pictures load?
Unfortunately, due to time restrictions and the item limit, we didn't get the chance to set it up for all gametypes. Also, if you like the map, please consider nominating it for Forge Hub favourites.
I don't understand. What is so funny? Is this masterpiece a joke? The design of these structures is fantastic, the pallet bridge that breaks and makes you fall a whole centimeter is brilliant, congrats on that dude! This map is the Picasso of Forge and will hopefully inspire a new generation of forgers. I still find the blue column sniper that is missing it's sniper to be the best location.
I like how everything is there to increase gameplay. I thought this played very well and had a very nice back story to it which was incorporated into the map's aesthetics. 1/1
the gameplay wall will surely increase gameplay. I fit to give you a 11/10 (I know thats tecnically impossible but SHHHH!) i hate when people have lonely pallets or big fancy center structures. screw that yours is TRUELY PERFECT.
What about the secret undercover blue column? The leg masheeeen makes you invincible!!!!! Amazing presentation and back story plus some of the most awesome forging i have seen in a map with a back story that includes rival columns. great work. 1.000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,001/1 great job
NEEDZ MOAR INTERLOCKZ! but seriously, this post was hilarious. at first i thought it was just a map with a very random design, then i could not find the lig machine, then i encountered the gameplay wall, and it all made sense. congrats on the funniest? post on forgehub guys.
Awesome map, I can clearly see that a lot of care has been put into the map so for that I give you an invisible high-5. Its also clear that the center structure is the most dominant part of this map so I will definitely be checking this map out later today!
Where did you come up with the inspiration for this map, and I was also wondering how you planned it out, like if you used sketchup. How long did it take? Also I demand like a weapons list.
This is AWESOME!!!! 89047478847367383765678765435678987654/1 truly inspirational. i hope i will be like you one day (P.S i love your pallet bridge, i'm afraid of heights and i will not dare go on that bridge just incase it breaks)
That game-play wall just makes the map. Excellent merging, superb rotation of the wall piece, and easily the best spot in the crypt. *Applause* -=Moxus=-
That's the beauty of the pallet bridge; if it somehow breaks whilst you're on it, you only fall a short distance from most of the bridge.
Actually, we did use Sketchup to design the map, here is a screenshot of the map in Sketchup before we forged it. I think we may have got the Ballmer peak off by a few degrees while forging, however.
I have heard rumors that Superman and the Fermented Kitten are actually fighting their own battle. Is this true?
I don't get a great WiFi signal anywhere on the map. Perhaps you should add an internet cafe? Other than that, really well made. Also, where's the chocolate bar? I seriously can't find the chocolate bar. EDIT: Oh, so that's why it's called an invisible chocolate bar.
