As you might know, Str8 Rippin was featured on Yahoo! on the article about young people earning money playing games. T2, Snipedown and Legit were there. Where's Elamite? Plus, Yahoo! even stated that T2 was 1/3 of Str8 Rippin... Weird. http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/...y-from-video-games-it-s-child-s-play-/1339010
yea i saw that but i didnt notice elamite wasnt there at first and it is wierd that they said T2 is 1/3 of the team
Seems like Yahoo didn't d enough research into the article. >.> I would be pretty mad if I was Elamite. He's the playmaker, one of the most important roles in a team. He certainly deserves a spot in the article.
True dat. He deserves recognition as much as any of them, that's the beauty of Str8, there's not even a hint of a weak link in the team, both in terms of skill and, overall, their teamwork, everyone of them is key. But Elamite is also a master strategist, truly awesome. I can't believe they not only left him out, but think that Str8 are a 3 man team. For shame Yahoo, for shame. EDIT: I checked the comments on the article, was glad to see various posts berating Yahoo for the mistake, hopefully they'll learn and check their facts for things in future. Talking about how games can actually make you money (albeit for all of the Top 16 teams that are in any real position to earn from Halo), not just a hobby, then failing to do even basic research on the single biggest team in Halo 3, the most notable pro game tbh, kinda goes off message a little.
Thing is, you're right, expectations are hardly high. But even then, gaming is a world that revolves around the internet. All the guy had to do was type 'Str8 Rippin' into a search engine like, idk, Yahoo.... Maybe that's it, he did. Should have used Google...
I kind of doubt that. I'm sure whoever did the article just messed up, you know dropped the ball on the actual research side of things. Also, I did indeed lol at the kid who quit school to earn 1,000 dollars from guitar hero. Seems kind of like a waste. If I was the kids parents I would seriously rethink my move of taking him out of public school.
Wait, guys...isn't it true if someone types 'Str8 Rippin' on any search engine, all four members would pop-up? I seriously do not understand how Elamite can be missed...
Either someone that really doesn't care, and half-assed their job or an official boycott for some reason. Maybe he told them he didn't want an article written about him.
