First is there an easy option to stop the flood from being able to interact with switches, i know i could script the button to do a boundry check for infected team and have it not power on and Have the button need to have power and send a message for a door to open. But the map is already done and im to lazy right now to go rescript all the doors. And second is there a way to make certain object visible to only one team? Thnx in advance
It might be possible to use team invisible blockers to prevent the Infected from activating switches. If you can't interact with things through blockers, easy. If you can, it might be a bit more awkward to design a blocker layout that keeps them far enough away to prevent interaction without interfering with gameplay movement.
Just put the button to the Red team. It counts them as survivors --- Double Post Merged, Dec 28, 2016 --- And sadly last time I checked, team invis blockers don't work in infection. I wish they did though cause it would be so useful
Infection is treated as a free for all gametype in most aspects, so I'm unsure as to whether this solution works, but with the latest update I believe they may have changed some code and not only might this solution work, but invisible blockers and teleporters might work with team settings too.
It worked on my linear infection map. But I haven't played that in a while so that's why I'm a little hesitant with that solution myself. But if the invis blockers work now too, then that will be very helpful for custom games
So wait, setting something like a teleporter or a switch to a team makes it only accessible to that team? Does that work for vehicles and weapons too?
That's always worked, but with the last update (thanks for making sure @KeeLoker ) most of these items now work with team settings on infection too!
