Hey brusky, if you end up doing "Eternal Flame" please work with @icyhotspartin or I to get a new copy with a major bug fixed. It may take a couple days to get that to you... so please keep in touch if you are doing our map. Thanks,
Ok here it is Chunk, I've walked around every map and even though I know jack **** about level design I believe these maps are near the money. -These Walls -Faultline -After Hours -Hubris -Custodian
he should be working on a new copy for you to showcase... I passed on my changes for "Eternal Flame" to him last night.
Today the judges have finished with the preliminary round of the 1v1 contest. As a reminder, maps in the preliminary round were disqualified if ALL FOUR judges had it on their list to be disqualified. 50 maps advance to round 1 of using the rubric scale. Here maps that score 9 or above after the judges scores are averaged will advance to round 2. You can check if your map advanced to the next round on Trello. If your map did not advance then you are free to modify your files once again. Better luck next time to the forgers who did not make the cut!
Damn didn't even make it into the first round. Is there somewhere with a video of you guys playing my map? I checked through @MultiLockOn 's mixer but never saw my map played. It would be helpful to see what I can do to improve for future work. Thanks.
There were more games played off stream than on but I do remember streaming Chronosphere. Ill talk about it more when the ratings'll results drop if you'd like.
It actually looked TOO GOOD and no one ever raised their gun because their jaws were on the ground. That'd be my bet
Thanks! I'd appreciate it. Helps me grow. Just so you know, I appreciate all of you judges sifting through all of these maps. I mean, that's not an easy task considering the amount of time either. Props to you guys for going through so many so quickly.
I have 48 maps uploaded to YouTube with there own gameplay now.Should Be thru 60 by Wed and complete by next weekend
59 Maps done Almost there fellas and gals. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7gZPT94kExxGPCrgod_hlRdYDlXI2jCh
I have to say I will miss having the crap kicked out of me on all these wonderful maps lmao You guys all did rad and I really did and am enjoying this process.I wanted to make everyone see that after all the time you all put in how someone plays on it.I do apologize for my terrible record and play on some but Unyshek I am not. Hopefully though everyone knows that brusky thinks it’s rad as hell that all of you put effort into this and past FH contests. It definitely gets the Competetive Forge Juices flowing and we get to see people pull out all there tricks and sculpt out amazing creations. It keeps the community motivated and engaged. Great job Staff,Judges, and Contestants. When we do these contests we all are winners.
Contest Update for those wondering where we are at: @everyone If you guys remember, were on the stage where we record and add together 3 values for design, art and gameplay. The average of the judges scores for each map determines if it is eliminated or not. The score to be eliminated is <9. Along with these values being recorded we are also saving some feedback (to add to trello) for each map of the main thoughts we have so that this time around people will have a better understanding of why their maps may have been eliminated. We will also be using the labels in trello that coincide with the scores each map got so that forgers will know what category brought their maps down. Since we arent all playing together, when a judge finds value in a map that the other judges may have missed, we end up going back to play them even more. Thats where most of my time has gone during this contest. Soldat and i for sure have spent a ton of time together debating maps and reevaluating our opinions. Weve literally played hundreds of games. When all judges have their scores in we will probably pass around the scores so that everyone can question the other judges scores one last time for any concerns they may have and then we will work on rolling this rounds results out. A couple of the judges have completed their scores/feedback and the other two should have theirs in this week. We have been playing these maps every moment we get even though we all have a lot of stuff going on outside of judging. We are so close to wrapping this round up and just as anxious as everyone else is... i assure you. P.S. I feel confident that the next round will be the final round, we shall see.
