Well to me it does. Say someone makes a 1v1 in the same vein as something like lost world from quake. No one would ever reach 15 kills in a serious game. Would this be considered a negative because someone could consider a slower more strategic 1v1 as being boring or the fact that because you do not reach 15 kills it is not suitable for 1v1. I was just curious about your stance on something like this.
I don't think the rate the kills come at is indicative of the pace of the game. As long as you're always making decisions and something intentional is happening is all that matters to me
Good ****. I just wanted to know what the stance was on that because I know some consider that important.
I agree with multi but there is an 'official' gametype in my bookmarks for the contest that's 12 min to 15 and those swttings seem to be what most people are playing regardless of my gametype.
When are people going to realize 10 minutes and no kill limit is superior. One day these settings will come back into vogue... one day
That's what I actually would have made the gametype if it wasn't for people's lack of concern for an official gametype. They'd rather just turn radar off for hcs slayer and name it 1v1. In the end what's it matter... respect for 1v1s died with party chat and halo 3s end. It's easier to just go with the games base settings.
I don't know. There was time period in Reach where there were a group of Forgers who took it pretty seriously, but the key word is Forger.
I think most people are doing this, but not everyone. As a bystander who wants to load these up and play them, please make sure you are adding a 1v1 tag or putting tha tsomewhere in your description on the Map itself (not just on the FH page). We bookmark so much and when you sift through to find the 1v1s to play (or any map, really) this meta data will make it easier. cheers
