You use a mouse like 10% of the time, its always typing measurements, Its really easy to use. Its just i seem limited to doing straight lines...

I've seen worse quality from capture cards in excess of $100. Good find.
Digital camera? and im pretty sure you wont need a pricey capture card, as the extra expence only enhances the FPS capability (to my knowledge)
