Thank you soooo much for your help! Most mods (or journalist ) would have just warned me and then locked the thread without any notice. But, you were nice enough to explain to me how I was wrong. And for that I give you my many thanks!
I tested it out today! It had a few small glitches...and I need to go back and remerge a few slanted boxes here and there. Its almost ready to be posted over at Bungie, but that's what these tests are for. I'll be on tomorrow night to test it again.
Is said official MLG maps or theones used in the MLG circut "onslaught" ect..... IMO are sad exscuses for maps especaily compared to other maps Ive seen in my own playing experience. I know our map makers can do some crazy maps competetively styled. But having a contest for making maps for MLGH is like lowering the standards because theres no need to take in all the normal require ments for a map all MLG wants is a playable map with no variables which make battle interseting. If all wars were fought evenly how fun would that be. Variables in games are what make Normal Team Slayer or Big team battle great. In these gametypes /playlists you can have even battles or have vehicle conflics , use of crouching to aviod being on the enemies motion tracker, stealth, full out charges or rushes , carnage ,and over all chaos. thats what I imagine Halo being if you cant take the heat get out lol. MLG couldnt take the heat soi the made a playlist to cater to simple game play and little chaos. Whens the last time I or you have seen an "Epic Battle" in a MLG where you just run over a hill and all you see is explosions, carnage, noobs running in for a slaughter,or burning vehicles and corpses? I think variety is whats fun . This is all my opinion Im sure some of the pros love what they do even if its less colorfull then my visions.
Yeah, I did that and is actually in one of the maps I'm working on, its a pain but I recreated a Snowbound resemblent kind of invis tunnel. Is yours going to just be standard walking or coruching walking? I would love to be a journalist, you get to inform people. Right now though, I'm kind of ignorant. I'm only 14 and I gues I can offend people at times, which is a major problem.
When I said majority of gamers I mean a majority of Halo 3 or online users are casual gamers. FH does have a large competetive community but the casual gamers/forgers are a majority in online games not just forge hub,hence why there are so many infection and mansion maps lol;]. MLG and competetive maps are almost the same the only differance is the gametype and weapon placement. With casual and minigame maps there are completely different styles when you look at the maps they are easily distinguishable. FH needs more "fun" non competative maps IMO. Youre right though I do dislike MLG gameplay and some of their maps. With all of the diversity of Halo 3 and all the possibilities in gameplay and map design MLG officialy watered down the game for "fair" and competetive game play. Halo 3 had so much to offer but in the Leage they desided to keep a Halo 2 style of competetion instead of embrassing the new game and all the new features. No Equipment, No vehicles, barely any new weapons, and a limitation and outter butchering of maps. This Is what Ive seen of MLG since counterstrike. None of this is dirrected towards you I really dislike MLG based on what Ive seen of them in the last 8 years.
I would help but its probably for some contest or some crap. For the "Box Floor", do you mean like in Paragon? Because you can also do it with Stairs and its much easier...The Stairs also act somewhat as a 'nade catcher to for one of the opposing sides. If you don't mind I could show you a sample. My structures are good and everything and I absolutely love to geo-merge its just my measurements usually go off by a smidgen or because I use only one kind of material on one structure, making it look unoriginal and bland. Anyways, I would really like to show you some stuff. Its cool if you don't want me to, and I'm sure you underestimate me but maybe I could. ...If you're not busy with GoO or Journalism here at FH in your free time.

Same for you... My maps have a great basis but if I **** up one little thing I get pissed and delete it. By a little I mean, not straight by the lightest degree. My techniques are flawless but my patience is epic fail.
I read the contest I just think its a waste of time considering we already have competative/MLG maps pumping out every minute we dont need a contest to promote it even more . I do like the other contests like the Rube GoldBerge and I think we need more like it considering the Mini Game and Casual maps have slowed down in production. Yes we still need to cater to the competative community but the majority of gamers are casual gamers that play the game for fun on free time not for stats or hardcore competetion. Also I made a fuss about the money glitch because it does help make better maps and if we choose not to allow a budget glitch to be used how can we have people make the greatest maps possible on Foundry of all maps! I think the contest could have been more leanent on that but as I did say I enjoyed that the rules mentioned to not only make symetrical maps. I like contests but this one as I made clear I wont participate in this one as I see it as a waste of space.
