Haha. That guide was my inspiration for writing a long-winded guide about small little explodey things. Devinish did a hell of a job. Also, do you know what happens if there are two Flag return points placed for the same team? Can you return the opposition's flag to either, or does the game just pick one? I'm assuming either, but we all know the aphorism about the word assume...
Sneak preview: When most people make a map, they first brief themselves on the various Forge techniques available, like Interlocking, Save-Quitting, and Geo-merging. They then build their map, often with little thought to the placement of Objective Items. As such, Objective Items are often thrown onto a map as somewhat of an afterthought, and this usually lends to poor gameplay. I am of the opinion that maps should work for all gametypes, regardless of whether or not the map itself is good for them. Complete Functionality is a must, as the majority of people that will download a map won’t pay a damn bit of attention to your description, no matter how carefully wrought.
Methinks the objective item guide is the best thing I could do now. Look out for it sometime this summer!
What kind of a guide do you think would be needed? I did the grenade one because no one else had. I have some spare time today, and I want to do a topic that hasn't been covered before.
