There's a difference between advertising your map as a response to someone else's map, and in advertising your map in appropriate context elsewhere. There's really no discussion here. It's not allowed on the site. Look at everyone else's behaviour more closely and you'll see the difference - follow the example of these respectable members.

Yes, I've only ever had a few days of shoutbox on the new site. No one has rescued me, although actually it is rather pleasant without it in many ways.
