BTW I didn't know that a lot of English people came to the US because of the gold rush. We mostly talked about Irish immigrants, Chinese immigrants, and Hispanic immigrants.

That is interesting. I just watched a Movie about Henry VIII last night. It was interesting. It was all about Anne Boelyn (sp?) and how she competed with her sister for the affection of the king. She got killed in the end anyway. It was OK, but I also saw the movie all about Elizabeth and the war with the Spanish. That was a lot more action packed an cool and still very historical. Over here we actually learn a decent amount of English history before American Independence because the English were primarily the colonists of early America. After the revolution however, it mostly talks about early American history up to the civil war in the 1860s. That is far as an 8th grade curriculum goes. I think I will probably take an American history class in 10th grade, but until then, I'm stuck in Civics learning about law. Boring.

Hey, if you are english, what do you learn about America in school? Just wondering. I know it is kind of a weird question.

Sadly enough tough concerning your rep is that before I haven't been open to constructive criticism, I took everything personally. Which although now is probably why this has turned out so well because I did listen this time and took suggestions.
