It's a pity such discussion took over the thread, an I apologise for your very valid question being pushed down the list. I'll do my best to answer it, but I'm not the one organising the contest so please don't take my word as law. I'm pretty sure any budget glitches are disallowed, whether the budget has been reached or not.

I'd advise you check with Kon Artist via PM though, since he has the final say on the rules as specifications, he'll be able to tell you for sure. To PM him easily you can click on the Discussion Thread link in the announcement you posted on, the discussion thread was posted by him, so you can send a PM by clicking his username there.

Hm...I'll have to start doing that. Seems like you cant really do that for the song I'm trying to learn (Stairway to Heaven) though, it goes in a kinda wavey pattern that would make back and forth picking kinda pointless.
