so what program are you using to do your layouts now? The quality is much better than your drawing ability :P I want to check it out, maybe I should use it if its easy enough.

It's an app called "Draft Paper". I can draw pretty well, honestly. I just kept on revising the layout on that one sketch you're referring to, so I started to get really messy.

I think your map 'worthy' is set to private. I can't view it on your files or bookmarks. Career also doesn't have it publicly listed.

Your recent post really resonated with my personal design philosophy. I don't think perfection is attainable with map design and live by it. Always learning and being open to exploration / new critical thinking advanced me forward than anything else.

"Does anyone here own a Subaru WRX STI? If so, what do you have to say about it?

I've also been looking at VW GTI, Golf R, Ford Focus, and Mustang GTs.

I'd like to hear some opinions from people with experience. Even if it's only a test drive."

Hey man! I plan on buying a 2017 STI this summer!!

Hey there I would like to link to your updated Angst map post for the updated FH Favorites page I'm putting together. Any chance you could try editing your post to fix the images. I'll bookmark the original post until then. Thx.

Nice! I think I saw it in the working on thread too. I'm setting up lights and game items for a Covy map that's almost but and then quickly slapped together a map to test out an idea. Having a older halo setting with no new mechanics and then only having OS, Damage boost and a Plasma pistol. No other weapons except BR. Something small, simple and different from new H5 stuff

Sounds interesting. I haven't seen too many people experimenting with different settings yet.

I wanted to see if you'd be interested in helping me test some maps for a 1v1 tournament and giving your thoughts/feedback.
      Would you possibly be down?

I don't know how else to get a hold of you other than on here, possibly. Would you care to introduce me to some new artists? I haven't been able to find anyone I really like to listen to lately, partially just because I'm busy, but yeah. You been listening to anything new?

I loled at an improvement over Reach. Couldn't disagree more.

Part 2 of 2, read below first
Along with this, maps well within the budget can suffer massive drops in frame rate causing an otherwise beautiful map to be completely unplayable.

My simple request is to make the budget representative of actual weight.

While I'm not sure of how the budget is implemented into the game I would believe that the values and amounts of items are stored in a table. If these values could be adjusted or changed to a more representative value that would be hugely beneficial to the community at large.

At the present we're resorted with using a guide made from a member: A Guide To Dynamic Lighting - Forge Discussion - The Halo Council

Along with this please remove or increase the number of objects allowed per category, and just allow us to use any object we desire provided we don't break the lighting budget.

I'm expecting as much but I gotta try, ya now? Anyways I sent them this:
      Dear Sir or Madam,

There is a major issue that is not receiving much attention with Halo 4's forge, and that is the Dynamic Lighting Budget.

I am an avid forger and have been since Halo 3. I've made many maps with high praise from the community, including a few into matchmaking. I believe that forge is a huge part of the halo experience and am passionate to see it improve.

Overall Halo 4's forge has been a noted step up from the predecessors. The duplicate function has saved uncountable time and the magnet feature aids in these improvements. The lighting also creates fresh map feels to avoid the stale repetitive nature of forge maps. For these massive improvements I commend you.

The only game breaking issue forgers are faced with is the Budget. The budget seems to have little or no relation to actual weight on the engine. A map with as little as $1200 can completely break the dynamic lighting engine.
