    I took an interest in forge mode, like many others, during halo 3's big reveal of the mode. After dabbling in the basics, i began creating minigames in Reach, then expanded to competitive maps at the end of Reach and the majority of Halo 4.

    When i build a map, I put functionality first. Any map can look great, but not every map can play great. weapon balance, verticality, and movement have changed considerably between Halo 3 and Halo 5, forcing maps to incorporate variable sight lines and routing more than ever before. My unpopular opinion when it comes to the incorporation of sprint is: build the map for walking, and sprint will fit in naturally.

    I encourage the use of Forge mode and hope to see more skilled builders with each new installment. Creativity is key to the longevity of a game, especially for the lore that halo has to offer.
